Faith had not returned to college before the Christmas break. She was anyway ahead of her classes and had asked her teachers to send her the assignments online, which they had all accepted. The Christmas break had passed very quickly with her new job as a stripper. She quickly got over her dislike for this kind of work because the staff at the club was very nice and the clients surprisingly respectful. She made friends very quickly and it was a pleasure to go to work. Her stage name was Fallen Angel, as Dominic and Blake had introduced her, and she found that very ironic.Very quickly, she became friends with the dancers and especially with Avery - Aka Doll face. Soon Avery understood that Faith was homeless and offered to share her place. She had proposed to her to share the rent when she saw Faith's hesitation. Between them, it had been a friendly love at first sight and even if they hadn't talked about their respective past, they both bore the scars of a traumatic childhood. Avery would be 19 next February and had never graduated from high school. She didn't seem interested in studying. Two completely different personalities and yet a perfect match! They spent their free time together and Faith had no desire to return to Barsch Academy. She didn't know if she would not explode when she saw Mila.
Faith had also discovered that Dominic and Blake were Caleb's half-brothers on his mother's side. Caleb was also an owner in equal parts of the club even if he wasn't really involved in it. So it was a surprise for both of them when they first crossed paths at the special New Year's Eve party. Caleb had not tried to dissuade her, to Faith's great relief. He had even been very supportive. He had also learned about Faith's car. Surprisingly, it was Nora who had phoned him to explain the situation and the sentimental value of this car to Faith. He had picked up the car by himself once the investigation was over to see if he could fix it. All this behind Faith's back, hoping to surprise her later. He had been revolted by the revelations about the incident. The car had been booby-trapped and even if the goal was surely to ensure the destruction of the car, Faith could have been seriously injured or worse.
The return to school had turned out better than Faith had imagined. Up to now, Mila had been avoiding her, which was not a bad thing, and she was running into Caleb every day. Between him and Avery, Faith was not bored and she felt surrounded for the first time in a long time. Her life was taking a turn she liked and the tips she received at the club were amazing! At least for her. Life was easier right now. Even though she knew that this peace and quiet wouldn't last, but in the meantime she was going to enjoy every second of it as long as she could.
After 3 weeks without any altercations, a new clash had happened with Mila. Once again, this idiot had come to bother Faith during the lunch break. Faith made a mincemeat of her and Levi and Landon had to intervene before Mila made an even bigger fool of herself. That same afternoon, as she was leaving her classes, Faith found herself face to face with Mila and her barbie crew.
"Well, well, well. Here's a little bitch that doesn't belong here?!" Mila declared as she looked Faith up and down.
"What do you want Mila? Haven't you made a fool of yourself enough at lunch?" Faith asked, a smile on the corner of her lips. She was more than ready for round two.
"You're the one making a fool of yourself, stupid bitch!" Mila retorted.
Faith laughed: "I feel sorry for you. You must really have no confidence in yourself, to behave like that."
"I have very high self-esteem!" Mila took offense, "Unlike you, I have a loving family and a wonderful boyfriend."
"So you can only define yourself by that, poor thing." Faith pitied her.
"At least I belong here! Maybe the message wasn't clear enough for your retarded brain when your car burned down but you're not welcome here, you slut!" Mila retorted.
"Your place? You mean a clingy girlfriend who feels threatened at the slightest. Flash new, I don't care about your boyfriend. But we both know that's not the problem, don't we. Deep down, you know you don't live up to Luna's title and that you're just a usurper."
"I hope next time you burn with your car. The day you die-" Mila growled.
"That's enough!" Levi shouted, before scooping Mila up in his arms and walking away with her.
Landon and Lucas followed them but Nova had stayed behind, wanting to make sure Faith was okay. Which Faith had assured her she was.
"So... that's the technique of the lie hidden in a truth."
Faith grinned, "What lie? Nah, that was just the brutal truth that hurts when you lie to yourself like she does."
Nova nodded before going to join her mate. Meanwhile, Levi was trying to calm Mila down and he had questions for her. Eventually, he ordered her to calm down.
"Were you involved in the fire in her car?" he asked her. The question burned in his mind.
"What?!" Mila said, offended.
"Are you involved in any way, Mila?"
" Who do you think I am?" She roared.
"Answer Mila!"
"Of course not! How could you even think that. You know me." Mila answered, tears in her eyes.
"Leave her alone. I don't want you anywhere near her, understand?!" Levi stated to her.
"But-"
"There are no buts. Do I have to order you to do it?" He threatened her.
"Crystal clear. I'm going to leave your little protegee alone." Mila said before leaving the classroom in which Levi had isolated them.
"She's raging." Landon commented as Levi walked out in turn.
Levi sighed, "She's tiresome. I don't understand what her problem is with Faith."
"She feels threatened." Nova explained.
"I don't see why? There is no reason." Levi commented.

A few days later, under the pretext of trying out a new club in the city, Mila had dragged Levi and Landon into the Den of Pleasure. Keen to do anything, she told Levi that she had a surprise for him in a private room. When Faith arrived on stage to perform, gloating Mila said to Levi, "This is what your little protegee does!"
Levi stood up and apologised to Faith before leaving the private room.
"You're really desperate to act like this!" Faith stated to Mila before leaving the lounge in turn.
Irritated, Levi went to look for his cousin but Landon was nowhere to be seen which annoyed him even more. Landon did not expect at all the turn that their evening had taken. As soon as he'd entered the club, he'd smell it...which had both made him anxious and excited. To think that he had searched miles and miles for her when she had been under his nose all this time! His mate, finally he had found her! He began to frantically follow her scent which led him to the dressing rooms. A virgil tried to stop him but in vain, he had quickly understood what was happening and like everyone else he knew that he should never come between two mates.
Landon found himself in front of a young woman buxom and very little dressed, which turned her back to him. When she turned around, his heart stopped and his breath was taken away.
