Lucas had every intention of pursuing his brother needing to be with him, but before he could take any action, Nova stopped him: "He needs to be alone. He'll come back when he's ready."

"But..." He began, pausing to look in the direction of his parents, who were engaged in a heated discussion with Dean Johnson, Dean Saveat, his wife and Danika. He looked at the chaos around him before finding Levi with the mark of Faith's hand on his face and a lost look in his eyes. Nova was right, he felt Landon wanted to be alone and here his presence was needed.

"Levi... We have to act now." He said softly to his cousin, moving closer to him.

Levi shook his head, "You're right... We need to get Faith out of the stadium. Can you handle that, please?"

Faith was surrounded by Caleb, Aaron, Scarlett, Blake and Dominic. Equal to herself, she tried to calm everyone down. She defended Lucas when he came to take her to the pack prison, explaining that he was only doing his duty. She also comforted Nova, who was crying her eyes out, promising her that everything would be all right, that she didn't have to worry about her, that everything would be fine.

"Thank you!" Lucas said gratefully, once they were alone in the van transporting Faith to the pack prison.

"I was just telling the truth." Faith replied.

"Your safety will be guaranteed until we get to the bottom of this." Lucas swore.

"Don't! Don't promise something that doesn't depend on you." She warned him.

Landon and Avery, who had decided on a point of meeting beforehand, met fifteen minutes after the events. Seeing each other, they both shifted back into human form before throwing themselves into each other's arms and kissing, touching and caressing.

It wasn't the right time, but they needed it. They both needed to feel they belonged to each other. They were not gentle with each other, so deep was their need for mutual reassurance. At the moment of final pleasure, they had even marked each other again.

"Mine! You are mine! Mi vida!" Avery proclaimed, her face glued to Landon's. Still entwined and into each other.

"Mine! I love you! You're my world!" Landon echoed before reclaiming her lips with his own.

Avery burst into tears after that.

"It's going to be okay! I got you, princess!" Landon whispered softly, caressing her back.

"Sorry about the slap." She apologized between sobs.

"A sorry kiss would be appreciated. You're a very good actress, on the other hand you need to learn to measure your strength for fake slaps." Landon teased her, trying unsuccessfully to lighten the mood. He too had a heavy heart.

She laughed as she cried.

"You didn't know about her parents?" Landon asked her.

Avery shook her head: "Just that Alpha was to blame for their deaths. I didn't know she had any active part on it..."

"She freed them. She allowed her parents to activate their own poison capsules... There was nothing else to do. Now I understand why she put her own poison capsule in her hand making it more accessible..." Landon commented.

"She was so young..." Avery cried.

"I know... Why? Why do they want her so badly?" Landon wondered aloud.

"Think about what you know? About what your wolf instinctively knows." Avery told him, her sobs subsiding.

"Is she my Luna? Maybe I'm a Gamma like my father."
