The first day of school had gone well and it was a pleasure to go back to college with Avery. Velho had become their headquarters, and Faith only went to Barsch Academy for her classes. She didn't have her closest friends there. And as they had vowed, all the dancers from the den of pleasure had auditioned for the cheerleading squad and all had been accepted. Scarlett, the captain, loved the way they danced and what they could bring to the team.

As a result, Faith felt integrated and accepted at Velho unlike at Barsch Academy, which was very pleasant. Every Wednesday, Nova joined them. She trained with a witch to develop her shield. After her training, she used to join Faith and Avery. She had discovered Doll Face's real name last July. They had become friends easily, once Avery had dropped her barriers and thanks to Nova's persistence. Landon had tried to approach Avery during the summer but she had been completely hostile. Faith didn't understand her fears, but they never talked about their past, it was part of the deal between them. At least she hadn't rejected Landon, which meant that a part of her wanted him.

When you're not bored, time flies. Faith could only notice it because in a blink of an eye, October was coming to an end. Nova was at the club with Avery and Faith as they practiced new choreographies. Nova observed them, she had the idea to make a surprise to Lucas for their anniversary which would be at the end of November.

She hadn't dared to ask the girls yet but she wanted them to teach her how to do a strip show. When she saw Faith was about to take a break, she decided that it was the right time to ask her. Unfortunately for her, Caleb was already chatting with her. Suddenly, Nova knelt down, stopping the discussion between Faith and Caleb.

"Go get help!" Faith instructed.

"Nora, tell me what's going on?" Faith asked Nova. placing her hands on her shoulders.

"It's not their time yet! They need you, go save them!" Nova ordered her, her eyes glazed over.

"Who? Where?" Faith inquired.

"They had a meeting with an allied pack but they were ambushed on the way back. Run north, their time is running out now!" Nova replied.

"But-"

"Now!" Nova cut her off.

Faith morphed as soon as she was in the darkness of the woods and after running with her super wolf speed, she smelled rogues as well as Levi and Landon. They were two against 14 wolves and even if they had fought very valiantly and had killed 9 wolves, they were no match for the numbers. Fortunately for them, Faith was there and benefited from the surprise effect. She easily killed the 2 wolves closest to her. The 3 remaining ones were a bit more complicated to neutralize but this was not Faith's first fight. Levi was unconscious and losing a lot of blood from a bad wound on his left leg, too much blood. As for Landon, he was not in a better state but he was in a semi-conscious state. Faith heard someone approaching them and stood in front of them ready to defend them at all costs.

"Oh shit! An Alpha!" Caleb shouted in surprise.

Faith growled. To which Caleb bowed his head and showed his neck in submission.

"I just want to help, Alpha." He told her.

Seeing no threat, she turned her attention back to Levi. She had to do something. She walked over to him and began to lick his wounds, hoping to help them heal. To her relief, it worked.

"Give your blood to Landon. Since he's your brother, it will help him heal faster. He needs it." She ordered Caleb via the mindlink.

As an Alpha, she had the gift of being able to mentally talk to any supernatural being. Vampire blood had the benefit of speeding up someone's healing but in return gave the vampire access to the thoughts of whoever drank it. Plus, since Caleb and Landon were half-brothers it would be even more efficient.

"I'm not sure he'll like it, but I'll give it a try." Caleb muttered again in surprise. Landon struggled a bit but didn't really have the strength to fight Caleb anymore.

Wolf howls could be heard and soon the reinforcements would be here.

"I'll take care of it, just go." Caleb tried to say to Faith. When he saw her nod, he knew he had succeeded.

Caleb explained exactly what had happened except for two details. He told them that Nova had a vision and warned him that's why he knew where to find them and he explained that an unknown Alpha was already there to defend Levi and Landon. Landon had quickly come to his senses and confirmed his story even though it was all a blur and there were only bits and pieces of the story. He had just added that the Alpha had licked Levi's wounds but at the same time it sounded crazy and irrational so he wasn't sure if it was true.

Caleb was eager to confront Faith and had slipped away as soon as he could. Upon calling his brothers, he had learned that she had called in sick and didn't come back as she said she will At this news, fear took hold of him, she was going to run away and disappear. He couldn't let that happen. He ran as fast as he could to his apartment that she and Avery had been renting since last May. Never had he run so fast and was relieved to see that he was there in time.

"We need to talk!" Caleb announced as he entered the apartment Faith was about to leave with a bag.

"There's nothing to talk about!" Faith denied.

"All my life I've been looking for acceptance from my stepfather, my stepbrothers, my vampire and werewolf pairs to no avail... And then I met you, in your blood I felt something special and it's natural that you became my friend. It was so easy for once. The attraction I felt for you... Completely differen from the one you feel for your mate and yet so strong! You are the answer to my prayers, the one I needed. You accepted me without judging me, without questioning me. And I accepted you too, my Alpha." Caleb stated.

Faith looked at him but did not speak.

He continued: "It's so fucking obvious now. How people seek your help and advice while keeping a distance. The dancers at the club who follow you and make you their unofficial leader. Your sometimes misplaced pride that prevents you from accepting help. Even your posture screams dominance! I should have known better. My Alpha!"

"I can't be your Alpha! If people find out-" Faith began.

But Caleb cut her off: "Your secret is safe with me. I won't tell anyone, not even Aaron. At least not without your permission."

"Still, you don't understand! It's too dangerous! Either you'll end up betraying me or it will cost you your life! I can't be your Alpha."

"It's too late for that, don't you think? Our bond is already there and don't deny it, it's impossible. I could answer you through our thoughts, it would have been impossible without a bond between us, Alpha!" Caleb retorted pointing to his temple.

"Stop calling me that, I'm not!" Faith retorted, uncomfortable.

"I beg to differ. I saw your wolf, Faith."

"Whatever!" she muttered.

Caleb felt Faith's annoyance soar and since she had put her bag down and didn't seem to be on her way out, he decided to change the subject, hoping this one would be easier: "Since when did you know Levi is your mate?
