Fate?
The night air was cool and the street was mostly deserted. Jungkook pulled his hood closer to shield his face against the cold. Always looking down, he has mastered the art of never making eye-contact so as to avoid chaos. Tonight, he just wanted to be alone. He didn't want to process anymore than that - he just wanted to be by himself.
He walked unsteadily as if drunk and the few people on the street avoided him quickly. That was fine by hi- "Sorry." He was blindsided by a little thing with big, brown eyes and they stared at each other for a full minute. The eyes belonged to a girl who was a head shorter than him, she had a small face and a cute nose and an unsmiling mouth. He couldn't see her hair which was tucked into her hood. But he guessed that it was pretty long - he didn't know why he thought that - maybe because it would make her even prettier with all that hair.
While he was still thinking about the possibilities, she bent to pick up the things that were scattered on the ground when she collided with him. He bent belatedly as he was dazed maybe from the pain or something or whatever it was and he quickly helped her gather her things."Sorry" she said it again and he wasn't quick enough to dismiss her apology. "Ahh - it's fine, I wasn't looking either," he said. She stood up gracefully and he saw that she had a guitar on her back.
"You play?" he asked. She looked at him like he was stupid but answered anyway, "Yeah, sure. Thanks - bye" she said in one breath and walked away. He oddly felt a sense of loss when she just walked away, he turned and his eyes followed her as walked away. She was dwarfed by the guitar on her back but what he can't forget were her eyes - the eyes that had deep sorrow but had a little spark remaining as if wanting salvation from despair.
"Tch, who am I kidding", he scolded himself and kicked a pole nearby. He shoved his hands into his pockets and started walking back home, when he stepped on something. It was a black, bi-fold wallet that looked to be really old and battered. He picked it up and thought to have his manager return it to its owner tomorrow.
"I'm home" he announced. Jimin peeked behind the door and gleefully welcomed him back, "hullo my Kookie! Where have you been?" he asked as he placed his hand over Jungkook's shoulder. "Around..." "Oh, okay...are you okay?" Jimin asked. "Yeah - I'm fine. I'm going to sleep first. 'Night" he said as he closed his door. He placed the wallet he found on his bedside table and then took a shower. As he was lying on his bed, he spied the wallet and decided to look at its owner's face. When he opened it - her face - the big brown eyes stared back at him.
