Chapter 27 Them tears...

Jiyeon hoped to rest first, to fortify herself against 'The Talk' with dad. But fate had other evil plans. She was tired and sleepy and looked (and felt) that she was run over by a speeding truck. She looked at her Mom, who was still very pretty even after that harrowing flight, smiling gorgeously at her father. "Ugggh" she grunted quietly but Minwoo still heard it.

Taehee stood up to embrace her husband so Jiyeon also hugged her Dad grudgingly. She missed the times when she could do this happily and lovingly. She stopped hugging her dad and tried to move away but Minwoo let his wife go and hugged Jiyeon tightly. He hugged her to him and said, "I'm sorry that we fought - I promise to be more-" he stopped talking because Jiyeon was crying on his chest. He tried to look at her but she was crying in full force now.

Jiyeon was undone the moment her dad leaned to whisper in her ear. All the years of longing and hurt; all the resentment were washed away by his apology. All her pent-up anger and unexpressed feelings came rushing out and resulted in a major crying debacle. She cried out her heart to her father and he never let her go. She felt her Mom hug her from behind and knew that whatever fears and challenges she might face - she will always look back to this moment. The moment that she has been longing for - these past 7 years.

She woke up slowly because her body was fatigued from her ordeal in the rain with Jungkook ; add in the horrors of the commercial flight - she was exhausted. She rubbed away the sleepiness and looked around the suite. They booked the penthouse at the Ritz so she had a spectacular view. Out the window, she saw the Imperial Palace and the Roppongi Hills; and in the distance she saw the majestic Mt. Fuji.

She got out of bed and stretched. She then spied the note that Taehee left on her bedside table. 'Out for a walk' -Love Mom P.S. Just ring for room service.' she scribbled in her pretty longhand.

Jiyeon didn't want to stay in the room so she hurriedly changed and grabbed her purse to grab some breakfast.

She wore dark sunglasses; her t-shirt and shoes were mismatched but she didn't care. She wasn't the most fashionable person in the world and when her loved ones called her out for it she just says, 'It's all about being comfortable!'

The elevator finally stopped on the ground floor so she got out hurriedly - 'Quick! Before mom-' she never finished the thought. Taehee was just entering the lobby and looked up in time to see her daughter freeze at the elevator doors. She looked at Jiyeon - up and down - and saw that she was wearing what looked to be an oversize t-shirt, dark sunglasses and - "Are those even shoes?!" she finally exploded. She quickly went over to Jiyeon and hissed, "Don't you dare move young lady - what are you wearing?!"

Jiyeon had the nerve to sass her, "It's comfy" while grinning. She quickly got away from Taehee and ran for her life and out the hotel doors! She loved this feeling, 'I'm free - again!' she thought happily as she ran towards the Roppongi Hills.
