Chilling with my moms at the crib, I was smashing the dinner she made. Home cooked meals is always hit different. After I gave her the gifts I got for her, we all just been sitting here chopping it up. My moms, aunts and uncle who came out here this year.
Antwan been in his room most of day, only came out to eat. I was debating on giving him anything because of his behavior. Moms told me he was still doing the same thing but not as much.
He doesn't stay out late anymore and he's been going to his classes. The only probably left is he still come in this house high. I been able to look into who he hangs around. Especially since Nae brother knows his name and face somehow.
"You still haven't met her family? Why?" My mom asked, sipping her wine. "Do they know about you?"
"You ain't meet the girl people's yet?" My unc said with furrowed brows.
I finished chewing my food then took a sip of my drink. I shook my head no, sitting the cup down. "Not yet and yeah they do." I answered both questions.
"So what's taking so long? They don't like you or something?" My aunt Tiffany brows knitted together.
I debated on going into detail about Nae pops not liking me to them, especially my moms. It's not a big issue for me but it's something that's really important to Nae. So it makes me want to keep her happy and try for her. It don't take a lot to see I don't really care to be accepted by the nigga. I can care less about getting him to like me.
"I'm having dinner with them the next week after new years."
My mom nods, looking at me. "Well that's good. Hopefully one day we all can have a big dinner and I can meet them." She says with a small smile.
"Hopefully." I scoffed. "Her pops real...overly protective." I say, watering down the actual problems.
"Ohh okay...I see." My aunt nods. "That's any parent when it comes to their child."
I nodded, standing up to clean my plate and wash my hands. I went and sat back down next to her. "Her mama the one who really wants to do the dinner."
"So her pops doesn't?" My unc asked curiously and I nodded. "Why? Need me to talk to 'em?" He chuckled.
"That's not good to hear." My aunt tiff says to me. "And no, quit it wit allat. Don't need you going over there and stirring up some." She looked at unc.
"Yeah, but Nae said it's good on her end so." I shrug. "Doin' it for her."
"Well hopefully it all goes well. Never stay somewhere you're aren't welcomed." My moms say as they nodded, agreeing.
"I got it."
Our attention went to Antwan coming down the stairs. He was dressed like he was about to leave. He glanced at us then looked away, heading for the door.
