Ranae

My heart was beating fast as I sat and waited for him. I missed him already and it's only been a few days since I last saw him. It was midnight, on the twenty-ninth and I was packed up at ready to go. It's kind of funny how I just got back from New York and now I'm going back again already.

Thankfully my parents and siblings was asleep. I didn't need the protest about me leaving. I'll just send them a text saying when I'll be home, which is literally in three days. Plus that's better than saying nothing when I really don't need to tell them anything.

I checked my phone to see if he texted that he's outside but I got nothing. A group call from the girls appeared and I smiled, answering. It was just Chrissy calling.

     "Heyyy." I sanged.

"Heyyyyy!" They all singed off key in unison, making me laugh. They was all together.

"Where y'all at? With the guys?"

"Yeah, see." Chrissy turned her camera around to the front. I see Kevin driving and Elijah in the passenger. She then showed Mike who was sitting next to Chilli. "He came and got you?" She turned the camera back around to herself.

I shook my head no. "Not yet, he said he was on his way an hour ago."

"Well yo grandma do stay an hour away." She says and I nodded. "But the way he drives, he should've been there by now."

   "Where y'all headed right now?"

"To get some snacks. And it's all on big brother Kevin." She says cheesing, making me laugh.

"It ain't all on big brother nothing, hell nah." I hear him say through the phone. "You niggas finna fast for next few hours."

He had them cracking up and I was laughing at how serious he sounded.

"Don't be like that." Chilli said in a baby voice. I see her reach up from where she sat then the sound of a slap was heard. "Ow! Don't slap my hand like that nigga." She said in between laughs.

     "Stop y'all." Nicole says chuckling.

I chuckled, shaking my head. That car ride going to be hell. I looked from my phone and seen Anthony's car pull up from the window. My heart skipped a beat as a smile came to my face instantly. His name appeared on my phone, indicating he was calling.

"He here, I'll see y'all in a lil bit." I say.

"Okay." Chrissy said and hung up.

Instead of answering, I sent him a text then I got up and grabbed my bag and purse then walked out of the room. Everyone was still asleep so I quietly made my way downstairs. I halted as I see Cameron, sitting on the couch on his phone.

He immediately noticed me, looking up at me as I stood at the bottom of the stairs. He looked from my suitcase to my face, raising a brow.

"Where you going this late?" He asked.

"To mind my business. I'll be back later." I say rolling my eyes, heading to the door.

"What business is that, this late?" He says standing up and walking a few feet closer to me. He peaked out the blinds a bit. A frown came on his face so I know he noticed Anthony's car out there waiting. "Where he taking you?"

"None of your business. Can I leave without you making a scene or you going to call dad down here?" I sighed, staring blankly at him.

"Nae," he lowly sighed. "Tell pops for what? You eighteen. Plus we all know you won't listen." He stopped peaking out the blinds then leaned against the arm of the couch looking back at me. "I'm just asking where is he taking you this late at night."
