The rain pattered against Zomburger's windows. Since Astrophelle was insistent on having them both get some rest, and because get some rest translates to don't talk in Astrophelle, the ambiance was the only noise the trio got.

They were only thirty minutes in when Lloyd got bored. At first, he just sat there, twiddling his thumbs, with the occasional sigh. Then, he got up, much to Astrophelle's distaste, and asked Elliot if he wanted to play darts. Why was there a dart board in Zomburger? Astrophelle sure as the stars didn't know, especially since—

"We don't have any darts." Was the way Elliot weakly protested. Oh, but that's when Lloyd had the absolutely brilliant idea of making his own darts! Out of ice! Elliot was wowed, but Astrophelle remained unimpressed. He didn't believe the darts would work.l

That is, until he watched Lloyd grab a silver fork, and create the shape of a dart around it via ice. There was an opening where the teeth of the fork were so it could still pierce the dart board.

"Behold! I call them my Neo Darts!" Lloyd presented it, practically sparkling with pride.

Elliot clapped, grabbing more forks. In no time, there were plenty of Neo Darts piled on the table. "I haven't had this much fun around here in, like, ever!" He said, fist-bumping the Gembearer.

Lloyd's Neo Darts, huh. Has a nice ring to it—wait, no! Astrophelle remained stationed at the window. He wasn't about to partake in their foolish shenanigans.

And besides, it wasn't like the darts were actually going to work.

Darts have little wings on the end called tail feathers that greatly add to their aerial movement, see. The Neo Darts do have those, but they're made out of ice. Surely, the difference in material is enough to—

Thud!

The dart landed on the outer ring of the dartboard, but.. how? According to all known aerodynamic laws, that shouldn't work. It should be on the floor. It shouldn't have flown at all.

"Do that again." Astrophelle was suddenly beside Lloyd and Elliot. Lloyd blinked, then threw another dart. It worked just fine, to Astrophelle's amazement. It was clear the soldier didn't have the best aim. Actually, his aim was flat-out terrible. What was he even going for?

Astrophelle then pulled up a chair and got comfortable while he studied the darts. Lloyd smiled fondly at him before turning back to continue trying his hand at the game.

Thud! Thud!

"Hey, Cap'n, is it true that Zomboss gives the Top Zombies powerful Cora-Touched weapons?" Elliot asked.

Astrophelle was a bit too enveloped in what he was doing, so Lloyd took it upon himself to reply. Thud! Another miss. "Churro has this umbrella that can shoot lasers. He probably has other things, too—" Thud! "—'cause when he isn't masking his presence, I can feel all this Cora coming off of him."

"Ohh." Elliot breathed, understanding. "I wonder what other special privileges they get."

Lloyd's expression fell into something more serious.

"They're the most elite of zombies other than Zomboss himself, so they get the best of everything." Thud! Miss. "Houses, authority, coin, you name it." Thud! That dart landed on the inner ring. "They teach us this as a part of normal cadet training, so I'm kinda surprised you don't know, Chef."

"I never paid attention?" Elliot guessed. "My cadet years are a total blur."

"Really?" Thud! "How old are you?"
