When Astrophelle and the crew arrived at Headquarters, they knew exactly what to expect.

There was Noah Puddles, in all his glory, standing on top of Headquarters' wall.. with a force of gargantuars blocking the entrance.

"Hey, Rookie!" Noah called. "It's not too late to turn back, man! We don't have to do this."

"I've chosen my path, and you yours, Noah." Astrophelle declined.

"We're really fighting gargantuars?!" Elliot was exasperated.

"Let's do this!" Valerie was armed and ready. Lloyd summoned his hammer, sending a nod Astrophelle's way.

Right, then.

"I hope you don't regret this!" Was the last thing Noah said before the gargantuars attacked. When a gargantuar groaned, all the other zombies fell silent. They were one of the most feared zombies besides Zomboss himself. With a towering 3000 life points, no zombie dreamed of facing them.

Yet here they were, about to square up with three at once. It was a good thing they had a strategy.

The gargantuar in the middle swung at the four with a utility pole. They all moved out of the way, tactically darting in opposite directions.

"Noah Puddles is in charge of defenses around Headquarters. With that, it's very possible he'll be commanding the gargantuars during our fight with him. We need to take out the gargantuars, then go for Noah Puddles." Is what Astrophelle told them in the planning room. "Defeating a gargantuar is a commendable achievement. One that'll damage Noah's morale."

Valerie acted first. She activated Weaving, tugging out a strand of silk. She manipulated it to make it thicker and thicker, until it was practically a rope. The Variant rolled beneath one of the gargantuar's legs, then began to wrap the silk around.

"I've fought gargantuars before," Valerie told them, brimming with pride, "and I'll tell you all the thing we should take advantage of is their speed. They're extremely slow! Outpacing them should be a piece of cake. I can take care of one with my Binding Silk, but the rest are up to you boys."

The gargantuar, legs all tied up, tripped and fell in what looked to be in slow motion.

Elliot was handling the one on the left. Not gracefully, albeit, but he was managing. He took Valerie's tip to heart in biding his time; he waited for the gargantuar to swing before jumping on the utility pole it used. Then, he leapt forward, climbing up the gargantuar.

"As we all know, gargantuars throw their imps when they're removed of half of their life points. Rumor has it, should you take the imp off of their back before that point, then the gargantuar won't know what to do with itself. It may be because the imps control the gargantuars, and without them, the gargantuars have no minds of their own. I'm not entirely sure on how it works, but one thing remains clear; take the imp out, and the gargantuar will be helpless," Astrophelle had said.

The gargantuar roared, trying to shake Elliot off, but the super brainz held strong. All he had to do was knock the imp off. Piece of cake! Speaking of..

When he reached the top, Elliot grabbed the imp. He shrieked, but Elliot paid him no mind. He used Delicacy to create a sponge cake, stuck the imp inside so he was sticking out like a sign in the grass. "That should break your fall," Elliot said before dropping the imp in the cake. "Safe travels!"

The gargantuar, as Astrophelle told them, stood in place. Elliot waved in front of its eyes. It blinked, but didn't react. He gave a thumbs-up to Valerie before climbing back down.

In the background, the panic was beginning to settle within Noah Puddles. "No, no! The gargantuars!" He was saying. He looked to Valerie, then Elliot, and the initial fear morphed to make way for something else. Before either could act, Noah rang the alarm.
