The Sewers

Leo's Pov

I didn't know if we should trust Furia yet and I definitely don't think we should be showing her the lair whether she is hurt or not. We just met her! What will Splinter say? I mean just because she was fighting the Kraang doesn't mean that she is a good guy, uh girl. She could be faking but I don't know. How does she even know who we are? Has she been spying on us? Is she evil? Hmm. I can see sorrow in her eyes, the question is who put it there and how did she even become a mutant? I decided now was the right time to ask as we headed towards the man-hole cover. 

"So uh not to be rude or anything but you guys live in an alley way? I was expecting something I don't know cooler from you guys, I mean you do have awesome gadgets." Furia commented as we stopped in the alley. Mikey started to laugh, leaning on me. I sighed I guess I can't ask yet. I wiggled my shoulder, shoving Mikey off.

"No we live in the sewers bruh." Mikey smiled. I could see Furia face light up. Hmm I don't know maybe we can trust her, she does seem harmless.

"I didn't know anyone else lived in the Sewers." Furia said surprised. We all looked at her with confused faces. "Oh sorry." She laughed. "I live in the sewers." My expression didn't change, I was still confused, doesn't she live up-top?

"You live in the Sewers? Don't you have a family to live with?" Raph asked a little rudely. I could see Furia was a little hurt, she took a small step back. I watched as she rubbed her arm uncomfortably. I shot Raph a glare.

Donnie's Pov

I could see in Furia's eyes she was hurt. Raph's question had hurt her but she kept a smile on her face. I wonder what happened. I don't like to see her look so upset even though she's not showing it. Ugh why do you care so much Donnie you just met her! I yelled at myself, but I couldn't help but blush as I looked at Furia.

Furia's Pov

I could feel tears building in my eyes but I blinked them away and smiled. I wouldn't let them know how upsetting the question was.

"Uh no. No not really." I said trying to sound like everything was fine but I ended up sounding uneasy. 

"Uh so to the sewers." I said cheerfully as I moved the man-hole cover, jumping down quickly, away from their intense stares. I could hear Raph yelling at his brothers that he didn't know it was a uneasy topic. I sighed they must of noticed I was upset. The turtles dropped down next to me. They looked a little uneasy. I smiled brightly at them and they smiled back nervously. Mikey led the way towards the lair, with Raph and Leo walking beside him. Donnie and I walked next to each other. For some reason I felt really nervous. I peaked a look at him and blushed brightly. Why am I doing this to myself? 

Out of no where I felt myself slip on the cement.

"Whoa!" I gasped as I closed my eyes waiting for the impact. When it never came I opened my eyes to see Donnie had caught me before I could even hit the ground. I looked at the ground then back up at him. He looked at me worried. I swallowed hard. My face was heating up slowly.

"A-Are you okay?" He stuttered nervously. Why would he be nervous?

"Uh yeah." I laughed and got out of his grip. "The cat reflex must not be working." I laughed half-hearted and walked ahead of him flushing like a mad man. 'Ugh what is wrong with me? First when I was fighting the Kraang and I noticed someone was watching me. I had seen all of the turtles but the one that caught my eye was Donnie. The way he looked shocked at me, his eyes wide. I had blushed at the sight of him, feeling a knot in my stomach, Why? I had gotten so distracted that I was vulnerable. And now when I glanced at Donnie I wasn't watching where I was walking and almost fell on my face. Ugh I am so stupid.' I thought to myself. 'I must have look like a idiot.'
