Glowing Sorrow

Donnie's Pov

I opened my eyes slowly, my head was pounding.

"Urg.." I groaned as I shut my eyes tightly, trying to get the pain away. I sat up and I felt the the thumping in my head stop. I opened my eyes, tiredly. I took a deep breath looking around the room. I was in my room on my bed. I glanced at my side to see Mikey. He smiled shyly.

"Hey D." He waved. "How you feeling?"

"I fine I guess, but uh what happened?" As I asked everything finally hit me. The fight, Shredder....Furia. "N-Never mind." I looked away uneasy. I didn't want to face Mikey yet. "Uh hows Furia?" I glanced over at him but didn't turn my head. I saw his rub the back of his neck uncomfortably. 

"Honestly Don I don't know. She doesn't look good. She hasn't even woke up yet." Mikey looked down sadly. I sighed loudly, squeezing my eyes shut, trying with all my might not to let a single one fall. I should have been faster, I could have saved her, if only I wasn't so stupid to let her leave in the first place, if only I...

"Donnie..." I opened my eyes to see Mikey looking at me intensely. "Don't do that." He glared, for once Mikey looked mad. "Don't blame yourself. It's not your fault." He half smiled but then returned it to a scowl. "It's Shredders." I looked at his for a while. Just staring at my brother who didn't look his usual happy self. I sucked in some confidence and spoke confidently. 

"Your Right and Shredder is going to pay." I whipped my blanket off and stood up. I smiled at Mikey. "We'll get his back." Mikey smiled widely. 

"Yeah!" He shouted happily, wrapping me in a hug. I chuckled hugging him back. 

"GUYS!!!"

We both jumped at the shout that echoed off the sewer walls. Mikey and I quickly let go. I ran out the door as fast as I could and down the hall. It must be Furia. I turned the corner and saw that the lab was glowing an intense Indigo light. I ran in out of breath. Casey was on the ground next to Furia's bed. He looked panicked, his chest rising, up and down rapidly. He gazed up at something frightened. I followed his gaze to see Furia in the air, the light coming from her. My eyes went wide. I didn't know what to say. What was even happening? I heard my brothers, Splinter, and April run in, along with Karai. I didn't question it, I didn't have time. I needed to do something but I couldn't I stared in shock at Furia. Then my face turned stern. Casey must have done something. I stomped right up to him. 

"What did you do?" I demanded. Casey looked down from Furia to me. 

"Your awake?" He whispered, mostly to himself. 

"Yeah and as I asked once already..." I paused long enough to pull him up by his collar. "What did you do?!" He looked surprised by how angry but that didn't make me change my expression. 

"All I did was come in here to give her some water for when she would wake up. But then I came in and she was glowing and..." He was cut off by an intense scream. I looked up to see Furia had her limbs spread all the way out, her fists clenched tightly, her eyes squeeze shut, hair floating off her face to show she looked like she was in complete agony. She was screaming loudly.

"AHHHH!!!!!!" 

I dropped Casey and stared in horror. I could hear stuff cracking inside her, tears slowly poured down her cheeks. I felt my breath pick up. What am I suppose to do? I have no idea what to do! For ounce I have no idea! What can I do? I'm helpless. Furia is... 

I stopped dead thought as the screaming came to an abrupt stop. I gazed at Furia to see the glowing had stopped and she had started to fall quickly. I lept forward, not even realizing I had moved from my spot until I caught Furia right before she hit the ground.  I was kneeling on the floor, Furia laying in my arms. I was wide-eyed as I gazed upon her. Furia's hair laid gently in her face and all the scratches she ounce had were gone. She must have healed, it started to work again. I wanted to smile but Furia still hadn't waken up. This whole thing was bittersweet. I brushed her hair out of the way. I felt tear tug at my eyes. Ugh why do I feel like crying, I should be celebrating that Furia's okay. I sighed and stood up carefully, holding Furia bridal style. I laid her down and turned to leave the room. I couldn't look at her, I was too upset. Why couldn't she have woken up too? I looked at my families surprised faces. I was about to explain but then a soft voice stopped me in my tracks. 

"Ugh I feel like I was hit by a truck." The female voice groaned. 

I gulped, wide-eyed. I was stunned maybe I was imagining things? I spun around to see Furia holding a hand to her head. Her eyes were open. She's awake?!?!

 I stood there astonished. It can't be true. Yet she's right in front of me I still can't believe it. My heart felt as if it was going a thousand miles an hour. Its sound was pounding in my ears, almost loud enough to bring back my awful headache. She turned to me, looking blank. Her mouth was in a small gap, like she was thinking about something. Her eyes were soft gazing into mine. Furia's eyebrows furrowed as if worried. That's when I felt it, the wetness slowly dripping down each side of my cheek. 

Furia's Pov

I stared at Donnie. I was shocked and worried. Donnie had tears trickling from his eyes, down his face. Did I do this to him? How long was I out? I could see everyone else was near the door looking speechless. I turned back to Donnie.

"D-Donnie..." I started in a whisper. Before I could even begin to continue Donnie stepped forward. 

"Furia!" He cried out as he embraced me tightly. I felt tears go down my shoulder, Donnie shook in my hands. My eyes were wide with shock. I was stiff in his arms. The image of Donnie crying made me want to cry. I don't like to see him like this.

My own hot burning tears streamed down my face, staining my cheeks. I hugged his back tightly. I sobbed loudly into his shoulder. I-I almost died...

I cried my shoulders rocking with each breath I tried to take. Why was I so sad?

No I'm not sad. I'm happy, relieved. I had survived. I get to see Donnie again and my sweet precious family. I smiled as I cried. I let go and Donnie let go after. He looked a little confused as he saw me smiling through my tears. 

"I thought I would never see you again." My sob turned into a laugh. Finally my family started to unfreeze. Leo, Raph, Mikey, April, and Casey came running forward. They tackled me into a hug, knocking me off the bed. I smiled, laughing with my family laughing with me. I thought quietly to myself;

I missed you guys.......
