Once Warren had gotten Tanner's coffee, he hurried back to the office so it wouldn't get cold. It smelled really good. Warren barely ever bought his coffee at Starbucks because it was too expensive for his everyday use, and was really tempted to take a sip, but decided against it; that was so wrong.

"Is Tanner still talking to Schäfer?" Warren asked Monica once he arrived.

"Nope. All back in his office," she said brightly while filing her nails. It was something she did a lot during work hours, despite once having been busier than Warren.

After knocking and being asked in, Warren brought the coffee to his boss.

Tanner nodded, placing the cup on his desk. "I need you to type out this report for me and e-mail it." He handed Warren a few papers with barely readable scribble on it.

"It's usually the secretaries who type that," Warren said slowly.

"Yeah, but they have a lot of other work to do for other lawyers so they take a lot longer, and I need this paper ready in half an hour," Tanner said sternly.

"Oh..." How was Warren supposed to type that scribble up in just half an hour?!

"And once you're done, please don't forget to get me those files," Tanner reminded him. "That'll be all, thank you."

"Yes, sir," Warren said quietly, taking the papers and leaving. He missed Jennings so much.

After Warren had closed the door, Tristan took a long sip from his coffee that had the perfect drinking temperature meanwhile. The side of the paper cup had 'Warren' written on it. How did Warren like his coffee? Did he even drink coffee?
Tristan groaned internally, trying to push the thoughts out of his mind, but he simply couldn't help it; every time he saw Warren, all he could think about was how crazy he was about him, and how crazy Warren was about that damned porn actor.

Why he was crazy about him, was, of course, far beyond Tristan's comprehension. Granted, Warren was very attractive, but he was also a complete twink, which was definitely not something Tristan was usually attracted to, because he couldn't take kids like that serious.
Alright, they were the same age, but they didn't look it, or behave it. Warren looked extremely young and very... gay. Unlike Tristan who preferred to be inconspicuous about his sexuality because it wasn't anyone's business, and he also thought it was ridiculous when men were overly effeminate, as was the case with Warren.

Yet somehow, it worked for him. Though Warren might be shy and awkward at work, his sexy, flamboyant appearance gave away that there was a whole other world lurking beneath the surface; a world that Tristan had gotten a small glimpse of that night, and was now yearning to discover more of.

Why, oh why, wasn't he allowed to fire him?! It would make his life so much easier... Then he wouldn't have to think about him all the time.

Except... Deep down, Tristan knew he would never fire him because seeing him was the highlight of his day and everything he looked forward to.
Was his life really that pathetic and lonely?

Tristan sighed again. Yes, it really was.
As much as he liked his job and all it enabled him to do, he had no personal life and no one who made it all worthwhile.

Once Warren was finally done typing up Tanner's scribble, he e-mailed it, and then sauntered through the entire office, collecting all the different files that contained information on the Hemmingway company. Would every day be like this from now on? Working sucked...

It took him nearly 3 hours to gather all the files, at which point it was almost lunchtime, which meant he had to go get Tanner's lunch from Elle's, a rather expensive restaurant down the street. Who could afford to eat there every day? And what was he supposed to buy, anyway?
