Over the next couple of weeks, Sasuke grew more tolerant of Naruto and his loud obnoxiousness, and Naruto became more tolerant of Sasuke's asshole behavior. Sasuke slowly felt himself falling for the boy. His eyes were just the most beautiful shade of blue, like the cerulean of the sea. The way his blonde hair was tousled and a mess every day, Sasuke began to notice everything about Naruto, but he kept his feelings to himself, knowing he shouldn't get attached. There was also no way Naruto could return his feelings. They were both guys, after all. Little did Sasuke know, deep down, that Naruto did return his feelings.

One chilly February morning, Naruto and Sasuke were walking to school together, and Sasuke couldn't help but notice all the couples holding hands. He wished he could hold Naruto's hand. He was itching to.

When the two arrived, they walked to their separate lockers, then they were back by each other's sides again to walk to their homeroom class. Then they parted ways again to sit at their separate desks. Sasuke longed to be by Naruto's side again, but only for a bit longer.

"You two are getting close," Shikamaru said.

"Mhm."

"You like him?"

"Yeah, he's a nice guy," Naruto replied, not thinking about what Shikamaru was really asking.

"So you have a crush on him?"

"No!" Naruto felt the blood rush to his face.

"Omg, you do," Sakura said, pitching in.

No, I don't," Naruto said firmly, his face now as red as a tomato.

"I can't wait to tell Ino about this," Sakura said, running off.

"Wait-"

"There is no use," said Shikamaru. "The word is out."

Naruto buried his face in his hands, resting his elbows on his desk. What was he going to do if Sasuke found out? Sasuke would think he was weird for liking another boy. He was going to tell him that he was a weirdo and that they could not be friends anymore. Little did Naruto know, it was all the exact opposite.

Throughout the school day, the two constantly glanced at each other, but never did their eyes meet. The day went on, and soon all of Naruto's friends knew about his crush on Sasuke. All he could think about was how much Kiba was going to bully him, but at least that took his mind off of the fact that Sasuke might find out.

Sasuke, however, kept his feelings for Naruto very well hidden, since not much emotion is shown on his face anyway. He had so many fangirls following him around that none of the attention was drawn to Naruto.

The school day came to an end, everyone rushed out of the school building, and Naruto went on his way to work. When he got there, he did what he usually does and got ready to begin his shift. He stretched and walked to the front.

Sasuke soon walked in and sat down in his usual booth. He had started coming to the cafe every day after school, even though a lot of girls followed him and tried to sit with him. He just brushed them off.

Naruto walked over to Sasuke and asked, "The usual?"

"How about you surprise me this time?"

"Alright," Naruto replied with a smile.

He went and chose a random drink off the menu and made it for Sasuke. When he brought it over, Sasuke took a sip and nodded before replying with his thoughts.

"It's good."

"That's great," Naruto said, turning to tend to another customer.

"Wait, there is one more thing," Sasuke said.

"Yes?"

"Can I have your number?" Sasuke asked.

He had been meaning to ask for a while; it wasn't like he was hitting on him. He just wanted his friend's number to be able to talk to him.

"Sure," Naruto said.

He took out a pen and wrote it down on a napkin. Sasuke pulled out his phone and added Naruto as a contact. Then he drank his drink before leaving to go home.
