I'm sorry I'm taking so long to update, I fractured two fingers so it's extremely difficult to type and I was on a little holiday. I hope you enjoy it anyway and thank you for being patient.

After some reassurance from Mortem that Ana would make a full recovery, the Dixon brothers, Shane and Rick seemed more at ease and spent their time teaching Beth, Amy and the two children some survival tactics and how to take down walkers using guns and knives. It was a great way to take their minds off of their worries for Ana, especially Sophia and Carl who seems to be feeling her absence more than anyone.

Daryl spent the majority of his time at her bedside, either sitting in silence or simply talking about his day and what has been going on with the pack. He would eat his meals and most of the time, spend his nights in her room unless it was absolutely necessary for him to be out with his brother and group. One thing for sure is that he's struggling without her, his temper has been almost uncontrollable and a feeling of absence settled in his chest, making him feel completely empty and lifeless.

It was later in the day and the scorching sun was setting, despite wanting nothing more than to be by his beautiful mate's bedside, Daryl was stuck standing over a large map along with his older brother, Shane, Rick and Glenn.

"What is it going to take to go to Ana's home? I get it, she feels she's going to meet other people but is that even safe for us? We have a good thing going here and I'm not sure how I feel about adding anyone else to our dynamic" Shane ranted, his fingers running through his dark hair.

"I don't know, Shane. I don't like it either but we all know Ana has more reason to be here than simply meeting us" Rick responded, equally as tired and frustrated by the situation but knowing he would support his 'little sister' in whatever she needed to do.

"We can trust her, she ain't 'bout ta lead us to trouble" Merle commented sternly, earning a grunt of approval from Daryl. Rick, Glenn and Shane all nodded, knowing that the witch was trustworthy but that didn't stop them from worrying about what was to come in the future.

The rest of the day was spent training those who were willing, Daryl and Merle hunting for some fresh meat, and Rick and Shane avoiding Lori who had been trying to get their attention anytime the two were without the others in the pack. However, the two were stopped by Glenn, who seemed extremely anxious to talk to them.

"What's up, Glenn?" Rick asked as he began to repack the weapons into separate bags. They were currently in the RV with the two children, Carol, Beth and Amy upstairs doing some tutoring.

"I-I don't know how to tell you this, you're gonna be mad-"

"Glenn! Spit it out" Shane interrupted inpatient, sighing as he leaned back in his seat.

"Maggie and I went on a run a couple of days ago, and Lori asked me to pick something up for her. It - it was a pregnancy test" Rick dropped one of the knives in shock, his mouth hanging open whilst Shane stared wide-eyed.

"She didn't want me to tell anyone but I thought you deserved to know... It could be either one of yours, right?" Both men nodded absently, glancing at one another before Rick shakily fell into the seat beside his best friend.

"Man, what are we going to do?" Shane sighed, running his large hands over his face.

"I-I don't know. Our relationship is done and her having a child doesn't change that, it doesn't mean I won't be there but as Glenn said, the baby could be either one of ours, Shane"

"This is fucked up, man-"

"Listen guys, I'm going to be honest with you. It doesn't matter whose baby this is, As Ana would say, we are a pack and this baby will be the cub, meaning he or she will be loved and cared for no matter what" Rick and Shane smiled at Glenn appreciatively, feeling calmer about the situation.
