The next morning came quicker than they all would have liked but they knew if they wanted the prison to be their home, even if it was temporary, they'd have to work for it.

Ana, Rick, Shane, Daryl, Hershel, Maggie, T-Dog and Glenn surrounded the tables, preparing and arming themselves. Lori watches them from a distance, her eyes narrowed on three particular people who were laughing and shoving each other as though they weren't in the middle of an apocalypse. She hadn't seen her husband or Shane look so carefree for many years, even before the world came to shit and she felt an intense bitterness when she realised that it was all Anastasia's doing.

"Dad, how do I look?" Carl questioned as he placed a helmet on his head, making Sophia giggle from beside him.

Rick shakes his head and takes it off, placing it back on the table with the other equipment. "You won't need that, I need you to stay put"

"You're kidding!" Carl gasped in disbelief and looked over at Ana and Shane with pleading eyes.

"Sorry cub, but I'm with your dad on this one. We don't know what's in there, and if something goes wrong, you could be one of the last men standing. I need you to handle things here with Merle" Ana spoke softly as she knelt in front of him, taking his small hands in hers. Carl looked over at the oldest Dixon who had just entered the block and a look of determination appeared in his eyes.

"Sure" Ana smiled brightly at him and placed a kiss on his forehead before doing the same to Sophia who hadn't left Carl's side.

"Good-" She stood and turned to the others. "Let's do this"

They leave and Merle immediately shuts the door, watching with a concerned frown as his younger brother, sister in all but blood and friends fade into the darkness.

The group advances through the corridors quietly, stepping over the dead bodies of prison officers and prisoners. Glenn had suggested drawing arrows on the walls so they could find their way back and in doing so, had caused Maggie to stumble into him.

"Shit" She Yelped in fright, making the group jump and turn around, sighing in relief when there was no danger present.

Suddenly, they see a lot of walkers as they turn a corner. As instructed by Shane, they all begin to run back whilst being followed by the walking dead.

"Go back, go back! Move!" Rick and Shane shout, pushing the group forward whilst Ana shoots spells into the group of walkers, seeing a few of them drop with their heads rolling away from the bodies.

Along the way, they had somehow lost Glenn and Maggie down a separate corridor, and Ana felt her wolf begin to stir protectively within her.

"Where's Maggie and Glenn?" Rick questioned frantically, his eyes darting from one end of the corridor to the other.

"We have to go back!" Hershel demanded, his eyes filled with fear from being away from his daughter in such a dangerous situation.

"But which way?" Daryl wonders out loud, his crossbow up and prepared.

They begin to open doors carefully nearby as they search for the two missing members of the pack. A small whine caught their attention and they turned to Ana whose Amber eyes were searching the area desperately. Immediately, she was brought into the hard chest of her mate as he began running his fingers through her hair, whispering soothing words into her ears.

None of them realised that Hershel had wandered off until they heard a painful cry, they all ran into another corridor and froze as they noticed the blood pouring from the older man's leg and the walker crawling towards him. Rick immediately takes action, shooting the walker in the head and that's when Maggie and Glenn arrive.
