They have all been on the road for eight whole months and despite having unlimited food, water and comfortable places to sleep, the atmosphere within the pack was tense. Any little inconvenience or comment would result in an argument, though most chose to ignore said comments because the majority of the time they came from Lori. Much to the shock of the pack, Andrea had pulled Ana to the side one evening and had whole-heartedly apologised for her horrible behaviour and thanked the witch for taking care of them all. This led to the two having quite the friendship and the pack found them together a lot of the time since it is Ana who has been teaching the blonde how to survive in this cruel world.

The one thing that made things a lot more difficult was the fact that Lori was now heavily pregnant, making Ana protective of the woman, despite the two still despising each other. The pack, including Lori herself, had no clue who the father truly was but thankfully, it did not cause a rift between the two men, instead, both had taken the task of making sure the brunette was eating enough. At first, Lori used her pregnancy as a way to keep the two men by her side but soon learned that despite making sure she was eating and cared for, it wasn't for her benefit but for the unborn child. The brunette was far from happy about being pushed to the side and Ana could see she began resenting the unborn baby more and more as time went on.

Despite the tense atmosphere between the three, Ana's relationship with Daryl was blossoming beautifully and after their first night together intimately, their bond grew immensely. The pack would hardly see one without the other, and if you did, the other would be close by to keep an eye out on their mate. Glenn and Maggie were another couple that seemed unable to keep their hands off one another, much to Hershel's frustration. The older man genuinely liked Glenn and thought he was perfect for his daughter but did prefer if they kept their overly touchy affection to themselves.

The pack was currently surrounding a firepit that both T-dog and Glenn created, deciding to venture off-road for the evening to get well-needed rest.

"Are you sure, Ricky?" Ana asked her brother in all but blood as she leaned back against Daryl's chest.

"You said it yourself, little sister. You feel as though the pack is yet to be complete, we can't find them if we go to your manor already" Ana sighed, knowing Rick was right but feeling that the pack would be much happier somewhere that's completely secure.

"We'll find somewhere, I know it," Shane said determinedly, nudging Ana playfully and in doing so, making her stumble slightly.

"Bastard" She glared half-heartedly as he threw his head back and laughed. A mischievous glint appeared in her eye as she looked at Rick and her mate, both raising an eyebrow in response.

"Shane? What's your favourite colour?" She asked, gaining the man's attention who looked down at her with a confused frown.

"Green, why?" He didn't notice her hand flicking slightly at her side, nor did he notice his hair slowly but surely turning a neon green colour.

"Just wondering" She shrugged before walking away and sitting beside Sophia and Carl, who were both focused on digging a hole in the muddy ground.

It wasn't long before everyone came together around the small camp sight, and Ana had to hold her hand over her mouth to stop herself from laughing at the odd looks Shane was receiving from the pack.

"Okay, I have to ask. Shane, what the fuck happened to your hair?" Andrea asked the man, making him stop his movements abruptly.

"My hair?" The green-haired man ran into the RV, allowing those around the campfire to release the laugh they had been holding.

"Remind me not te piss ya off" Daryl whispered in her ear, sending shivers down her spine which earned a proud smirk on the redneck's face. He loved how easily her body reacted to him, a simple whisper with a certain tone could send her on overdrive.
