After picking out their bedrooms, the Pack settled in and took a well-needed shower, all whilst the house elves unloaded the RV and placed them in the correct areas of the manor. Later that day, Ana called a pack meeting and soon the entire family had settled in the living room, feeling a comfort they never thought they'd experience ever again.
"Alright, everyone! I called you all here to explain some rules to you" The cubs both groaned, making some of the pack laugh whilst others seemed confused at what the rules could be.
"Rule number one... the house elves are a part of the family and will not be disrespected! They are here to help but they are not to be bossed around like little slaves. You all have two legs, fucking use them" Her warning was clear as day... mess with the elves and there will be consequences. "Rule number two... no one is to touch the books that are placed in the glass cases in the library, they're dangerous and can cause serious harm"
"What type of harm?" Rick questioned cautiously, not liking the sound of anyone being around such things that could cause them unknown harm.
"Believe me... you don't wanna know" She grimaced, remembering the painful boils that had spread across her entire body after forgetting to block the dangerous hex that was connected with the book.
"Rule number three... you do not enter the elf's quarters. That's their home and they are private creatures" Everyone nodded, understanding that they all liked their privacy and hated that they hardly ever got any now that the world had gone to shit. Of course, things would be different now that they were at the manor.
"Rule number four and most likely the most serious one... the creatures in the forest will not harm you unless provoked, but some may try to play around and trick you. I advise you to only wander inside the forest with at least two other people or me present. No harm is to come to my creatures, do you understand me?" She growled out, her eyes glowing which made the pack quickly agree.
"Hershel, there are also some non-magical animals that tend to be nearer to the stables. If you did indeed want to take care of the creatures, you may study them whilst also taking care of the animals. Of course, it's your choice and can decide that you want to simply relax. The elves are more than willing to help you... actually, I prefer that they do just in case" The older man wanted to ask what could happen if he didn't have one of the elves but thought better of it. He admired Ana and thought she was a great leader, and he trusted her word more than anyone so he decided to take her advice and work alongside the elves.
"That's it for the rules... I think but just to let everyone know. There is a barrier between our land and the world outside, even when walking through the forest, you'll hit the barrier and will be unable to go any further. The only way in and out of our land is through the main gates. I will be notified if anyone leaves" She shot the two cubs a warning look, daring them to try and leave without permission. They both gulped and nodded seriously, knowing that their aunt would be extremely mad if they even attempted to do so.
"Now, you can all go about your day but I think it's a good idea for everyone to keep up their training, you never know when you need to leave the manor for whatever reason" The adults, minus Dale and Hershel, nodded in agreement. Carl and Sophia exchanged a look before slowly walking towards Ana, gaining a questionable look from them all.
"What's up cubs?"
"We want to train too" Carl spoke out confidently, his eyes bright and full of hope.
Rick instantly felt his stomach drop at the thought, he knew his son and Sophia needed to learn how to protect themselves but a nieve part of him believed that it wasn't necessary now that they were safe behind the magical wards. Carl had been a trooper since leaving their first camp but he was still a child, well... a teenager now but was still too young in his eyes to have to do something that could potentially harm him.
