We lost another member of our group, the day before last. I couldn't hold it against her because it was her choice but it was pretty clear during our short stay at CDC that Jacqui lost all hope. CDC was a dead end and after we escaped the compound, we were on the road again. A few hours into our journey, we came across the highway which was filled with abandoned cars, as if every single person that occupied those vehicles simply vanished into thin air. After the chaos that happened at the compound, resulting in it quite literally blowing up, Carol decided to ride in Ricks's car with Sofia, who had been quite traumatized after our near death. I had to force Jenner, using the imperious curse, to unlock the doors, earning us our freedom. Ever since then, Daryl had been extra quiet which made me rather nervous, he and Merle had been the only ones who realised that I used magic at that moment and I was worried that he felt uncomfortable around my magic now.

I pulled over in the middle of the road when I realised that Dale's RV was slowing down in front of us.

"What now" Merle groaned, grabbing his gun and jumping out of the RV, Daryl and I following close behind.

"Problem, Dale?" Shane asks the older man, his face showing slight frustration at having to stop in such a vulnerable place. It was pretty obvious that the two didn't necessarily get along, they had different ways of looking at life and tended to clash quite often.

"Just a small matter of being stuck in the middle of nowhere with no hope of-" I sent the older man a slight glare, gesturing towards the two children who were curled into their mother's side.

"Okay, that was dumb. If you can't find a radiator hose here..." Dale trailed off, looking around at all the cars.

"There's a whole bunch of stuff we can find" Rick commented, looking quite pleased with the find.

"I can siphon more fuel from these cars for a start. Maybe find some food and water-" T-Dog suggested, though I shook my head which earned everyone's attention.

"I've got food and water in my RV, there's enough for everyone," I said, earning thankful smiles from the group.

"That would be helpful, thank you, Ana" Shane said, making me nod with a small smile, though it threatened to widen when I noticed Lori's jealous look directed towards us.

"This is a graveyard, I don't know how I feel about this" Lori commented loudly, wanting to gain the attention that was aimed towards me. Rick and Shane looked over at her with a frown, not quite understanding why she was so hesitant.

"If it isn't us, then it will be someone else and there's most likely some stuff that can help us in the future" I argued, making her scoff and turn her back to me, I rolled my eyes at her childish attitude.

"Alright, here we go"

"Come on, y'all. Just look around and gather what you can" T-Dog ordered lightly, making everyone split off. I stuck with Merle whilst Daryl took off in the other direction, making me frown before shaking it off. Now wasn't the time to stress about small things like that.

"Ya got the hots for my little brother, angel?" Merle questioned with a teasing grin, making me roll my eyes with a laugh before shrugging my shoulders, deciding to keep quiet because, at the moment, I wasn't sure where I stood with him.

"Do ye care about him?" He asked as he grabbed my arm to stop me from walking, his face was absent of any teasing that had just been on there but instead, it was serious but soft.

"I care about both of you" I shrug nonchalantly, making him roll his eyes with a small smile, of course, I cared about Daryl but I wasn't lying when I said I cared about both brothers, just maybe... In different ways.
