UNDER HIS INFLUENCE

Chapter 2

She could not believe what she saw as she walked into the office.

She was sure as hell that she had left everything in order the day before but as she walked into her office now, everything looked like the total opposite of what it had been the day before.

Everything was thrown around like some sort of thief had come into the office,but how could they,this place was biometrically protected and only two people could open it with their fingerprints.

And as she looked through the office every valuable thing was there.

She was still debating on how the office had been put in this state,when she heard a noise coming from the office next to her own.

As she made her way through the connecting doors,she was startled by a deep voice before she caught sight of a man figure standing across the room looking outside the glass wall that stood high above the CEO's office.

"You are late!!" The man said with a deep and angry tone before he turned on his heel and faced her.

"I don't think I am,sir.It is just a few minutes to the arrival time and this means I am actually early."

This time,he stepped close enough for her to see him.

No wonder people were making a fuss over this guy,he truly was hot.

As she took a closer look at him,looking into his eyes that were full of rage and something dangerous in them,she realized that they were actually grey and not blue like she had seen before.

His physique was much more broader or a bit bulkier than she had observed before.Maybe because she didn't give him much attention.

His hair was actually black not brown and so was his perfectly trimmed beard.Anyway he was way taller than her as he stood infront of her,she had to look up at him.

As she looked at him,she saw that his lips were a nice light shade of pink and they were not too big,not too small,just perfect.

He looked down at her with a raised eyebrow and said,

"You like?"

And this is when she realized the missing piece of the puzzle,he was an arrogant jerk.

She had to choose her words carefully because at that very moment something was rising inside her,call it anger or rage.And maybe that is why she opted out.

"I am terribly sorry ,sir. Actually this is normally the time I come to work."
She said and with that he took a step back  and moved to sit behind his desk.

"I have everything set in place for you and your assistant,sir.I made sure to....."He interrupted her.

"And who do you think my assistant is Miss Matthews?I was informed that you were to be my assistant,or are you opting out?"

"No,sir.I thought you were bringing in someone else that is why…"He interrupted again.

"That is why you came late to office?I am sorry to disappoint you Miss Matthews,but you will have to put up with me until your contract is done."He said,this time standing up and coming around his desk once again,this time leaning onto it ,his arms in the pockets of his  office pants and his long legs crossed at the ankles.He had a firm gaze on Kayla that she had to look down every now and then.Something about this man was very intimidating even for a confident woman like her.

"I guess we will skip the pleasantries for we both know our names...."He said but this time Kayla interrupted.
She had to use all her confidence to ask the next question for she was embarrassed.

"Actually,sir. I really don't know your name. I don't think I know you from anywhere,thus I really couldn't know your name."She said with her head held high.

This time he smiled and shook his head.

"You will know with time.Now,go and prepare for the meeting at 12,I need a good presentation because I need to make an appearance to my staff.And with that,he waved her out like she was some fly.

Kayla was now infuriated but what could she do other than walk out with the last shed of respect still intact.

It would not be long before she was fired because this new man was surely very arrogant.She thought to herself. Kayla and arrogance didn't corelate too well and it wouldn't be too long before her patience wore out.
