  Kayla's POV
To tell the truth, meetings had never been so hard for me in my life, but ever since the new boss entered into my work life, they have turned into the most resented time in my life.

There is always something wrong with what I do. Sometimes it's my outfit, other times the file arrangements and sometimes ,it is just my existence.

To be honest,I am so fed up with everything concerning work and my boss. Who even hides his name from his employee? I mean who does that!! I have done some digging in the past week but I guess he is much smarter than I am.

In the introductory meeting,he sent me out of the office for something he claimed to have forgotten and yet it was not that important. I rarely speak to any of my workmates but even when I speak to them and smartly ask about the boss, they avoid the topic.

How am I supposed to work with someone I barely know? If we are being honest,I don't know anything about this man.But hey, this is work and in a world like this, money is a big priority.

"Thank you so much, sir. I believe it will be great working with you.I have heard a lot about you and it is all good." The client said having signed the contract and sealing the deal.

We all stood up and I watched the boss shake hands with the client before he turned to me.

"Let's go." He said bluntly and I only nodded.Collecting the files wasn't so hard as everything was placed in small folders. I closed my laptop and picked up everything before making my way for the door.

As we walked out of the restaurant,it was getting dark which meant we had taken more time in the meeting. What a relief!!Atleast I didn't not have to put up with him until tomorrow.

However,my plans were shortlived as the man himself had other plans for the day.

" Let's have dinner and we will drop you off to your house later." For the first time,he sounded calm and sincere but I was quick to decline.

"No!I mean,I cannot do that sir. I will have dinner at home."

"Did I ask you?" He was back again. The arrogant fool himself. I could have been fooled before  but not anymore.

"Seemed like it. Besides,it is past work time." I said matter-of factly.

He moved from where he was standing until he stood right in front of me. He bent until he was at my height and brought his lips closer to my ear.

"It will be end of work when I say so. Now let us go."He said and took my hand without warning , pulling me to the car. We both got in to the backseat of the black SUV and the chauffeur drove away.

"Why would you even take me for dinner?I know nothing about you."
I knew I was whining about the matter but I couldn't stop myself. He did not even spare me a glance later on reply to me.

"Could you just calm down?"He finally said.

The guts of this man!!
"How do you expect me to come down?I have been working with you for a full week, and yet I don't even know your name. You could be a criminal for all I know. But I chose to let myself follow my intuition. I am your assistant for goodness sake, and yet I know nothing about you.How the hell do you expect me to be calm about all of this?"

I was  now arguing and I didn't even notice.

"Maledizione Donna!!(damn it woman!!) I heard him say.

"Atleast tell me your name."I pressed.

"Ian Stevens Rossi. But I like to go by Ian Stevens. Now since you know my name could you just shut the fuck up."

"Fuckin' prick!!"

I could have said something else but I didn't.So I shut up for the rest of the journey. The car finally pulled over and I saw we were in front of a tall beautiful building. It looked luxurious and I couldn't afford luxury.

"Sir,I can't be here. I cannot afford this place." I said but my words fell on deaf ears as I was pulled out by my hand.

"We are not in the office,so stop calling me sir."

"Mr. Rossi, did you hear what I said. I can't afford this place."

"Listen, Kayla. I do not want to be addressed by that name. Call me Ian or Stevens, whatever. But don't call me Mr.Rossi. And I heard you the first time.i just chose to ignore you.Now let's go.

As much as I didn't want to go inside the restaurant,I found myself voluntarily following him as though something pulled me towards him.
