Nova's 3rd birthday (June 2023)

"It's my birthday tomorrow!" Nova cheered while jumping on her bed.

Tomorrow it's Nova's birthday so everyone's coming over. She doesn't want anything big, she only wants everyone round. I love having everyone round because it's just so fun and Nova loves it too because she's normally the centre of attention.

I've been quite tired and a little nauseous but I don't think it's anything. I think it's just because it's hot, kinda hope i'm not pregnant because I don't know what Jesse's reaction is going to be if I am but I don't think I am.

"The bunting and banners are all up." Jesse said after putting the bunting and banners up to surprise Nova.

"Thanks baby." I smile at him, he sat on the floor with me to help blow the balloons. It's 6:12 am and we're decorating for Novas birthday. It's all rapunzle themed because that's her favourite princess and her favourite film.

We blew up purple and yellow balloons, put up the lantern bunting and the sun buntings. We have a rapunzle cake and I got her a new rapunzle dress because her other one is wrecked because she wears it all the time. I can't wait to see her reaction.

We went back to bed when everything was done but only for a little bit because we had to wake up Nova. We stuck into her room, careful not to wake her up yet. I carefully shook her awake and she started to open her eyes.

"Good morning birthday girl." I smile when she woke up, she rubbed her eyes and sat up. I ran my fingers through her crazy bed head and she hugged stood up on her bed to hug me. "You're 3 Novi."

I squeezed her tight and she giggled. Shark wanted some attention so he tried to put his cold nose in between which made Nova laugh. We pulled out of the hug and Nova started to play with shark.

Shark ran out of the room and Nova followed, Jesse and I then followed Nova. She ran into the now decorated living room and squealed in excitement.

"Rapunzle!" She squealed which made me and Jesse laugh. I started to film her as she picked up a balloon and walked around the room to check everything out.

"Do you like it Novi?" I ask her, she nodded her head quickly and walked over to the pile of presents. "Do you want to open a present?"

She nodded her head and I got a present out from the pile. I gave it to her, she thanked me and opened up to reveal a rapunzle teddy. She screamed and hugged it as tight as she could. She jumped into my arms and I squeezed her.

"Thank you mama!" She thanked, I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. I picked her up and she wanted to go to Jesse to give him a hug.

She wrapped her arms around Jesse's neck and squeezed him tightly. He threw her in the air and caught her a couple times which made her giggle uncontrollably before putting her down.

"What do want from breakfast birthday girl?" Jesse asked as we walked into the kitchen.

"Pancakes!" She shouted, we laughed and Jesse started to make pancakes for all of us. He served up the pancakes and we all sat at the table to eat.

"So Nova, uncle Finneas, auntie Claudia, nanny and papa are coming round at 12, what do you want to do when they come round?" I asked Nova.

"Go in the pool." She said while eating. She told me that she just wanted to go in the pool and have them round yesterday so that's what I told them.

"Do you want to do anything else?" I ask her.

"Get food." She said. I nodded, sounds like a good idea ngl. She normally just wants to be with her family, like me.
