Nova's First Christmas (December 2020)

Today is Christmas Eve and I'm going round my parents house for Christmas. Christmas is probably my favourite time of year and it's Nova's first christmas.

I woke up because Nova was crying from the baby monitor so I got up and walked to her nursery. I picked her up from her crib and cradled her in my arms to calm her down. She eventually started to calm down so I walked to the kitchen to get breakfast.

"It's Christmas Eve Novi, are you excited for Christmas?" I asked her, she just looked at me and cooed. "I'm excited, I bet you're going to get spoiled."

I grabbed the baby wrap from the kitchen table and wrapped it around me and Nova. I made my breakfast and I looked down to see Nova asleep against my chest. I grabbed my breakfast and sat on the couch to watch the office.

Once I was finished eating, I put my plate in the dishwasher and walked to Nova's nursery. I placed her back in her crib and went to my bathroom to have a shower. Once I had quickly showered, I got dressed and I could hear Nova start to cry.

I walked into her nursery and picked her up. I could tell that she was hungry so I unclipped my bra and she latched on. I walked to the living room and sat down on the couch. Once she was finished and she had latched off, I got up and burped her while I walked to her nursery.

I got out a Christmas onesie out and a new diaper then walked into my room. I laid her on my bed and unzipped her onesie. I changed her diaper and then put her in her new onesie.

"Stop moving, it's only gonna take longer." I said to her because she kept moving around which made it harder to change her. I picked her up and kissed her on the cheek. "good girl."

I laid her against my chest and then got up from my bed. I walked around the house while rocking her to make her fall asleep so I could get ready. Once she was asleep, I placed her in her crib and then went to my room.

I got dressed into the sweatpants and a tshirt and then did my hair. I could hear Nova start crying from the baby monitor so I walked into her nursery to get her. I picked her up from her crib and cradled her in my arms. Once she calmed down, I got the wrap and wrapped Nova against my chest.

I finished getting ready, then I started packing my stuff to go to my parents house. Once my bag was packed, I went into Nova's room and got her stuff packed. Once I had packed her stuff, I got Shark ready and then collected my bag and Nova's bag then went out to the car.

I put the bags into the trunk and then got shark into the backseat. I made sure that all the doors were locked in the house and then locked the front door. I placed Nova in her car seat then went to the drivers seat.

I drove out of the driveway and then drove to my parents house. Once I got there, I got out of the car then got Nova and shark out. I walked into the house and mom walked up to me to hug me.

"How are you?" She asked as she squeezed me.

"Good, how are you?" I asked her as Nova started to coo. "

"I'm good, hello Nova." Mom smiled at her as I walked into the kitchen to place her car seat on the island to get her out.

I got her out and then gave her to Nova. Dad walked into the kitchen and hugged me then waved at Nova. She babbled at him while smiling which made us laugh. I heard the front door open and then Finneas call out for us.

I walked to the front door and hugged him and Claudia. Mom and dad walked out from the kitchen and Finneas took Nova off of mom. He lifted her up into the air which made her cackle then blew raspberries on her cheek which made her laugh even more.
