Unexpected News (revamp)

Tomorrow is Christmas and i'm so excited. It's Nova's second Christmas but this Christmas she isn't a baby like last year so she will actually be able to open presents and stuff. We're spending Christmas at my parents house which I am very excited for and so is Nova because she loves when all of us are together. She also can't wait to see Finneas and Claudia when though she saw them 2 days ago.

"Good morning baby." I squeal when I see Nova standing up in her crib, reaching out for me to pick her up.

I placed her on my hip and walked into the kitchen. I made her some oatmeal and she ate that while watching peppa pig since that's her favourite. Once she was finished with her breakfast, I cleaned her face and hands then took her out of her high chair. I cleaned the tray and placed the high chair back into the kitchen because I moved it into the living room so she could watch tv.

I took her back into her bedroom and got her dressed into some blue, denim dungarees and a plain white long sleeve top underneath. I brushed her hair and put her hair up into two little pigtails. She got her toys out and played with them on her bedroom floor while I started packing what she needed because were spending the night round my parents.

I got clothes for tomorrow, diapers, spear clothes, pyjamas, hair accessories and any toys she wanted to bring. Once her bag was packed, I placed it at the front door and then went into my room to get my back packed. Once I got my back packed, I placed it at the front door then I picked the bags up and went outside, to put them in the car.

I walked back in and went into the kitchen to get Nova some snacks and fill her waterbottle for the journey. I walked back into her room to see what she was doing and she was playing with her barbies.

"Come on Nova, let go to nanny and papa's house." I told her, she looked up and ran out of her room.

I quickly tidied up her toys and then grabbed her teddy and blanket from her crib. I found her playing with shark in the living room, I got sharks leash and clipped it onto his collar. I got Nova's and my coat out and put it on her then I put my coat on. I put her little uggs on then I put my shoes on. I picked her up, grabbed shark's leash and my keys before leaving the house.

I placed Nova in her car seat then shark jumped into the backseat with her. I got into the car and started the car. I put some Christmas music on because it only right to do and then started driving to mom and dad's house.

It's only a 30 minute drive so it wasn't bad and it didn't take long to arrive there. I saw Finneas' car in the driveway so they are already here. I got Nova and Shark out of the backseat and unlocked the front door.

"Billie!" I heard everyone say when they noticed that I walked in. Everyone came over to me and Nova. Finneas took Nova off of me and I let shark run around the house with Peaches.

"Oh Billie, I got the cookies for santa." Mom said as we walked into the kitchen.

"Oh good thank you." I smiled at her, Mom said we had to do it for Nova and I fully agreed because I used to love waking up and seeing the half eaten carrots and cookies by the fireplace.

I heard Nova screaming and laughing around the house. She ran into the kitchen and hid behind my legs and then Finneas came running in.

"Billie?" Finneas called out for me to get my attention.

"Yes Finneas." I replied.

"Have you see Nova anywhere?" He asked walking around the kitchen.

"Nova? No I haven't." I answered him, I could hear Nova giggling from behind my legs.
