"Tomorrow you're going to be one, can you believe that?!" I gaped as I breastfed her. "My little one year old, I swear you were born yesterday."
"Mama." She mumbled when she unlatched. I stood up and rocked her to send her to sleep. She fell asleep a couple minutes later and then I placed her in her crib. "mama."
She reached out for me so I got a book from her bookshelf and sat on the rocking chair. I started to read it to her and she just stayed sat up, watching me read to her. Once I had finished reading, I put the book back and laid Nova down.
"No go." She said when I was about to leave her room. I sighed and got into her crib.
She cuddled up to me and I started to talk to her about her birthday. I could feel my eyes feel heavy so I closed them for a little bit. I opened my eyes again and Nova was asleep. I carefully got out of her crib and left her room.
June 12th 7:34 am
I woke up to Nova calling out for me on the baby monitor. I got out of bed and walked into her room to see her standing up in her crib.
"Hello birthday girl!" I squealed when I saw her. She giggled and jumped up and down. "Hello, how are you my little one year old."
I picked her up and bounced her on my hip which made her giggle. I blew kisses on her cheek then grabbed her bunny and blanket. I took her into the kitchen and placed her into her high chair.
"What do you want for breakfast?" I asked her.
"Pan!" She squealed, suggesting she wants pancakes.
"Pancakes? Do you want pancakes?" I asked as I walked up to her and tickled her.
I put the tv on and put my vanity fair interview on to keep her entertained. I started to make pancakes until I heard my phone ringing. I looked to see who it was and saw that it was mom facetiming me.
"Hey mom." I said when I answered and placed my phone on the counter.
"Hello, happy birthday to Nova." She smiled, I giggled and took my phone to Nova. "Hello birthday girl!"
"Nanny!" She squealed when she took my phone to see her nanny.
I had to check on the pancakes so I quickly ran into the kitchen. I could hear Nova babbling to mom and mom talking to her. I played up her pancakes and then put some syrup on them beige cutting them up. I gave them to Nova and she dropped my phone to eat her pancakes.
"Thanks Nova." I said as I picked my phone up to talk to mom. "You coming round?" I asked mom.
"Yeah, what time?" She asked, I shrugged.
"Don't mind, I need to get dressed and get Nova dressed but I don't mind."
"Mama." I could hear Nova say from the living room. I walked out to see what she needed, turns out she was just pointing at the tv saying mama.
"Yeah that's me." I smiled at Nova as I ruffled her hair.
I took her empty plate from her tray and took it to the kitchen. I got a paper towel, wetted it and then walked back into the living room to clean Nova up. I picked her up and placed her on my hip then took the high chair back into the kitchen.
I took her into her room and placed her on the floor so I could get her dressed. I got out a dressed and a new diaper then changed her.
