It was 9pm Emma completed her last file and checked the clock. She once again did overtime. However it was okay for her as nowadays she feels very scared to stay alone for much longer in her home. She was about to leave when she saw Jungkook's room's light was still on. She decided to inform him before leaving out of courtesy. She slowly opened the door of his room turning the door knob. Peeking inside the room a bit she saw Jungkook was working on his laptop. He seemed to be very much indulged in his work.
"Sir, I am done for today so I am leaving." Emma said.
"Yeah okay." Jungkook replied without even looking at her. He was really serious about his work.
Emma just nodded, and after closing the door she left. Getting out of the building she was walking on the road. It was a bit more empty than usual. The bus stand was 5 minutes from the office building, so she would always walk upto there and wait for the bus.
The moon shined the brightest lighting up the whole road making it easy for Emma to walk. There were a few street lights as well, most of them were working but some were not. Standing on the bus stop she felt someone was watching her. She felt shivers down her spine. She took out her phone for some distraction. Soon she remembered all the texts from Richard. She was really scared about whatever he said. Even though it was chilly outside, Emma started to sweat. She was feeling all strange but tried her best to not think anything negative. She tried to scroll a bit on Instagram as a distraction when she felt a light tap on her shoulders.
For a moment her brain froze, she closed her eyes and started to scream.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Pls don't do anything!!!" Her phone fell from her hands, she pressed both hands on her ears, eyes still shut, screaming. That's when someone's hand was on her mouth, stopping her scream.
"Miss Emma!!! Stop screaming, it's me Jungkook."
On hearing the name and voice, Emma opened her eyes slowly to look at the man. It was actually Jungkook. She sighed heavily in relief on seeing him.
"What's wrong with you? Why were you screaming?" Jungkook asked, his voice deep and stern. It was clear from his voice that he was suspecting something negative.
"I am sorry, I-I s-sorry", Emma stuttered, she was really scared but she will never be able to say that she was recieving threats. She hung her head low knowing that it's of no use Jungkook will never understand.
"Okk, btw I saw you were standing here, I was done with my work so if you want I can drop you at your home."
Emma thought for a while, atleast she felt safe with Jungkook also it was really late for her to stand there for much longer, that too when she was so scared. It's already been a week that she recieved those messages from Richard and after that nothing was same in her life. Even though Emma would spend most of her time in office doing overtime and all, the moment she's alone she would feel someone was watching her or following her. She didn't even feel safe at home. She was waiting for something unknown and scary in her life. She decided to go home with Jungkook. She nodded her head slightly in response, to which Jungkook opened the door to the passenger side of his black Porsche car. After Emma was sitting comfortably he closed the door and went to the driver side.
Jungkook loved different types of cars and also driving them so he never appointed any driver for him. He would always drive himself. The road was now totally empty and suddenly it started raining heavily midway to Emma's house. The whole drive was silent. However when they came near Emma's house the car suddenly stopped working. A bit worried Jungkook and Emma came out of the car and saw it's engine was giving smoke. It was impossible that a mechanic would be available at that time.
"It's ok, I'll stay in the car for now once the rain is over I will just walk home." Jungkook said to Emma a bit frowning.
After thinking for a while about all pros and cons, Emma replied
"I can't leave you like that sir, you should come at my place for tonight please."
Jungkook was helpless at that moment. He also got drenched in the rain so he agreed for a nightstay at Emma's house.
