Mera, Rowan, and Merula were now at the Great Hall, Merula was sitting next to Mera and Rowan was sitting across from Mera once again, Mera had just finished eating a potato salad sandwich.
Merula: Okay, I have a plan on how we can get in the locked room Mrs. Norris is guarding.
Rowan: Okay... What's your plan, Merula?
Merula: We put the cat to sleep-
Mera: ( sternly: ) Merula, I refuse to harm that cat.
Merula: No, that's not- let me finish. I was going to say we put her to sleep with a Sleeping Draught, it will knock her out just long enough to let us by. Second, we need a way to get inside the door.-
Mera: ( blankly: ) I can do that.
Merula and Rowan looked at Mera with confused looks.
Mera: What?
Merula: You know the unlocking charm?
Mera: Something like that...
Merula: Okay, then... Third, we'll need the Knockback Jinx, Flipendo. It'll help us escape if we get trapped inside the room. Four, if needed, we need Mera's shield spell in case we need it to protect ourselves if there's something in the room that might attack us.
Mera: ( sarcastically: ) Great...
Rowan: But, Merula, if you ask Snape to help you brew a Sleeping Draught, he'll get suspicious...
Merula: Well, luckily for us, we have his favorite student on our team.
Rowan and Merula then looked at Mera, who was confused about what they were talking about until she realized that they were calling her Snape's favorite student.
Mera: Yeah, no.
Merula: What, come on, Mera.
Mera: Nope. As I said before, I'm not going to hurt that cat. I refuse.
Rowan: It won't hurt her, just put her to sleep.
Mera: That may be true, but trust me, it's for the best that I don't do it.
Merula: Well, maybe we can get Penny Haywood to help.
Rowan: Penny Haywood? She's the most popular girl in our year, if not all of Hogwarts.
Merula: Well, I have a feeling she would do anything to make up for upsetting Mera about the whole popularity thing, and last time I've checked she's okay with potions. If anyone knows how to brew Sleeping Draught, it's Penny.
Rowan: What about Filch?
Mera: ( blankly: ) I have an idea about how we can fix that. I was inspired by Rowan's love of research, and decided to take a break from my studying to do some research of my own on Filch. I think I can throw him off our trail- Rowan, why are you looking at me like that?
Rowan was looking at Mera with tears of joy in her eyes.
Rowan: Ignore me, I'm just proud that I inspired Mera Spelling to take a break from studying and do research.
