Mera was still in the Hospital Wing waiting for Rowan, Barnaby, and Ismelda to wake up. Penny then walked in the wing and approached Mera. Aziz was nowhere to be seen, due to Mera sending him away so no one else could see him.
Penny: What happened, Mera? Are they okay?
Mera: No...Neither of them has moved, not even an inch. We found a cursed vault, but the door attacked us with a freezing spell when we got too close. Rowan, Barnaby, and Ismelda got hurt, but me and Merula got them here as fast as we could.
Penny: Why didn't you tell me? I could have helped.
Mera: If you haven't noticed, Penny, I have trust issues. And we should never have gone in the first place. I was desperate to find out what happened to Ben, that I failed to observe my surroundings currently, if I had not been so distracted, I could've prevented this....
Rowan: ( slowly wakes up ) Don't blame yourself, Mera...
Penny jumped slightly as Rowan had startled her, but Mera quickly looked at Rowan with worry.
Mera: Are you alright?
Rowan: I feel like I got run over by the Knight Bus.
Mera: I wish I could stay with you and wait for the other two to wake up, but I have to go to Potions.
Rowan: Don't worry about us, Mera. I'll send an owl when I'm feeling better and if Barnaby or Ismelda wake up. The best way you can honour my memory is by going to class, and learning as much as you can...
Mera: Alright, rest well, Rowan.
Mera then walked out of the Hospital Wing, and went to Potions with a blank expression, but with worry hidden in her eyes. She took her seat next to Merula, who noticed the worry hidden in Mera's eyes.
Merula: How are the others?
Mera: Rowan woke up and is resting, but Barnaby and Ismelda are still unconscious...
Merula: Well, hopefully we can still be able to get into that vault.
Mera: Why do you want to find those bloody vaults so badly?
Merula: That's nothing you need to know, Spelling.
Mera: What do you mean by that, Merula?
They then turned their attention to Professor Snape when they heard him speak.
Professor Snape: I've received information that requires my immediate attention. I expect you to remain focused on your potions until I return.
Professor Snape then left.
Merula: I wonder if that information is about the vaults.
Mera: ( to Merula, a bit coldly: ) You know, you are beginning to remind me of my brother.
Merula: Huh?
Mera then began focusing on her studies, while ignoring Merula. Until Professor Snape returned and walked up to Merula.
Professor Snape: I have just visited your dormitory, Snyde.
