Aziz was sniffing around the castle while staying out of sight, he then poked his huge head into the artifact room to see that Rowan and Merula were there, he slowly and silently pulled his head out of the room and disappeared into the shadows, and went back to tracking down Ben's scent.
( Slight time skip, with Mera, after she listened in on Rowan and Merula's conversation about the note they found in the Artifact room )
Mera was a tiny snake and was hiding under a couch as she watched Rowan and Merula leave the Slytherin Common room.
Mera: ( thoughts: ) The Gryffindor Common Room... Good thing, my brother had secret passageways into the room. If only certain two Slytherins trusted me enough to let me help look for Ben. And I thought I have trust issues, I mean why didn't they tell me this? Not important, they'll probably won't figure out a way inside until tomorrow, so that's when I'll go in there before they do so I can listen in to what's going on. Good thing I made this spell to disguise myself as tiny animals to be able to spy or, what I mostly use it for, to hide.
( Slight time skip, at night )
Mera waited in her dorm room on her bed for Merula with a blank expression as she was reading the " Two Lunas " book. Merula then walked in and...
Mera: ( to Merula, giving her a cold stare ) Have you been noticing anything strange lately?
Merula: ( lies : ) No, not really.
Mera: Strange, I thought you would've noticed that Rowan has been acting strange. For some reason, she has been nervous a lot today.
Merula: She has? I'm sure she's fine.
Mera: Uh-huh. Close the door behind you.
Mera pulled out her wand and Merula closed the door.
Mera: ( to Merula, with a serious expression: ) The spell I'm teaching you today is called " Vulpes-spiritus ", it summons a loyal creature that will be spiritually bonded to you, and will do what you command and will come to your aid when you are in danger. It'll also feel your pain when you are hurt, that's when the creature becomes more protective of you. After the first time you cast this spell, the creature can summon itself when you call the name you give it. When casting this spell, you must think about all the parts of yourself that makes you, keep a good grip on your wand, and say the incantation with meaning. ( Pulls out her wand ) Vulpes-spiritus!
Aziz then appears in front of Mera from the shadows, and Merula looked at the giant black fox with amazement as he walked to Mera and nuzzled his huge head against her side with his tail wagging.
Mera: ( pets Aziz's head ) ( to Merula: ) Don't just stand there, summon yours.
Merula: Okay. ( Pulls out her wand ) Vulpes-spiritus!
A small black cloud appears in the room in front of Merula, and a giant black and gray fox walks out of it and looks at Merula with its deep purple eyes, Merula's fox was about the same size as Aziz.

Mera: ( is impressed ) Not, bad. Granted, I wasn't expecting the purple markings on the eyes or for them to be the same size as Aziz, but not bad.
Merula: Of course. I am the most powerful witch at Hogwarts.
Aziz then does a play bow to Merula's fox, but the fox just scoffs and turned it's head away from Aziz.
Mera: ( blankly: ) Oh, great. Your fox has your personality.
Merula frowns at Mera's word but then...
Mera: Maybe, that's a good thing. It means they have the passion and the drive that you have. But, if they start speaking and does the whole " most powerful " thing like you do, I'm finding the closest body of water and throwing myself into it.
Merula: ( laughs ) We would just be stating a fact, sidekick.
Mera: ( blankly: ) You repeatedly say it every five minutes. It's not a... ( Sighs ) ( pinches the bridge of her nose ) Nevermind.
Then Winter-Star jumps out of nowhere and climbs onto Merula and to Merula's shoulder, to nuzzle her hair while purring, causing Mera to laugh. Merula's fox tilted his head in confusion.
Merula: Ah! What's with this kneazle and my hair?!
