Alex.

"Get the muffins and leave", I mumble to myself as I open the door to the small bakery and café. A single step through the doorway and a thousand memories are suddenly unlocked. I successfully ignore them all as I make my way to the pastries.

Why was I appointed for this terrible mission, I wonder. Securing food for four moody teenagers that are annoying everyone in their radius isn't my idea of a well spent break. But complaining would only get me into trouble, so I obeyed the instructions and strolled in here.

The first thing I notice is the unexpected change of the furniture for mode elegant and modern pieces. Due to that the overall atmosphere has slightly shifted. The music is unchanged, still the same soft melodies and mostly a soft rhythmical guitar, occasionally accompanied by a light bass in the background.

"Hi," the lady behind the counter flashes me a sweet smile. She seems like one of those people who never fake a smile – somehow they just always, literally always, have a positive mindset and energy. "What can I get you?"

I place my order, listing probably all flavours available including too many different coffee preferences. It takes her a while to pack all the muffins and the poor boy making the coffee struggles as well. I thank them both, and quickly leave.

The eyes of my bandmates sparkle as I return to the car, waving the paper back in the air. First I hand them the coffee, then the bag is snatched out of my hands by an angry Ace.

"I'm starving." He immediately digs deep into the bag, fishing out the first muffin he sees. Mae snatches the bag from his hands, doing the same. Then she places the bag on the empty spot next to me.

"Which one do you have?" River reaches for the bag with the muffins. "Oooh, I want the peanut butter one too!" Mae, being the kid she still is, refuses to give him a bite.

I left with the biggest paper bag they have full of muffins. I've never bought as many muffins as now, and I hope it never happens again. But the muffins served their purpose – they satisfy our hunger and closed our mouths. Everyone in our management team was for some reason getting extremely annoyed with us today.

"What flavour is that?" Ace moves his face dangerously close to my muffin, so I show it in his face, smudging a bit of the raspberries on his cheek. "Hey!"

Pulling away instantly I give him a smile and enjoy the rest of my muffin. There's not much left. He returns the smile, annoyed, grabs the muffin out of my hand and eats the last bite of it.

I dramatically scoff, earning a look from our tour manager. Without any hesitation I reach for a new muffin, which he hasn't tasted yet, take it and taste it. Someone is going to scold us soon because we both know this won't end here. But neither of us care.

"Hmmm..." I take another bite, slowly. There's no liquid filling inside, thankfully.

"Let me get a taste," he says and reaches for it, but I put the muffin behind me.

"Take your own."

"I would if I knew which one it was," he snaps back. "They all look the same." That's true, but this is now my muffin.

The bickering starts here. At first no one really notices, just our tour manager who just rolls their eyes at us and continues to munch on their muffin. Then Mae, who's so used to it she doesn't even pay any attention anymore. At some point River joins the little circle of people slowly noticing us and reminds us to stop. Clearly implying our management team is going to scold us. Both Ace and I are fully aware of this, yet we don't care. Everyone seems to be in some strange, tense mood today. Whereas the two of us, finally after a long time, are in such a good mood. We just want to have fun.
