Reincarnated as Nezuko

Chapter 22

3rd Person P.O.V.

When the man bit the woman, it caused people to look at what was going on. They were shocked by what they were seeing. Nezuko wanted to run in and help, but she couldn't; it would blow her cover. Tanjiro tackled the man to stop him. The woman exclaimed in shock.

"Dear!" the woman exclaimed. 

"Ma'am! You need to worry about yourself! Please take a cloth and press it firmly against the wound!" Tanjiro said while he struggled to hold down the demon

Two men were trying to help the woman, but she started to look worse and worse. 

"You need to stop the bleeding. Hold the wound harder. Something to tie it." Tanjiro instructed the two men helping the woman. 

The little girl in Muzan's arms started to, and Muzan shielded her from looking at the gruesome scene. He then led his 'family' away from the scene. Claiming it's dangerous. 

Tanjiro saw this and started shouting at Muzan.

"Muzan Kibutsuji! I'm not letting you get away! No matter where you go!" Tanjiro yelled.

"What's the matter with that child? What do you think, Tsukihiko?" Rei, the woman with Muzan, asked Muzan.

"No matter where you go, you're not getting away! I'll follow you to the ends of Hell, and I swear I'll slice off your head with my blade! I'll never forgive you, no matter what!" Tanjiro yelled again.

Nezuko's P.O.V.

When I knew that Muzan was far enough away, I ran to where my brother was. 

"What the hell is wrong with you!?!" I exclaimed when I got to my brother, then hit him upside the head. Tanjiro looked at me, stunned. 

"You just yelled out about killing someone in front of dozens of witnesses. Do you want to get arrested?" I scolded.

"But Nez-" Tanjiro tried to say, but I cut him off. 

"But nothing, they don't know he's a demon. They all think you just threatened a wealthy man." I whispered to him as I helped him hold back the demon. Just as I got through scolding my brother, the police arrived.

"What the hell is going on?!" Policeman 1 shouted.

"Looks like another drunk." Policeman 2 said.  

"Kids, step away from that man!" Policeman 3 shouted at us.

I looked behind us and saw the policeman there. I didn't want the scene to escalate anymore than it already had. Plus, I knew Lady Tamayo would be here soon. 

"Officers, I'm sorry, but my brother is trying to keep this man from attacking another person. He suddenly started attacking his partner. My brother saw this and tackled the man, so he didn't hurt her further." I told the officers, gesturing to the injured woman and then my brother. 

"I appreciate you two helping. We can handle it from here." the first policeman said. I tried to think of an excuse but then I smelt a flowery scent.

'Lady Tamayo is here.' I thought. 

I looked around to see if I could find her, and I did. Her demon art pushed the policemen back away from us. When her and Yushiro got to us, they both looked over to Tanjiro and when they turned their gaze to me their eyes widened. I just nodded at them. Lady Tamayo, snapped out of her shock first.

"You still use the term man when referring to the transferred demon. And you're brother is trying to save him. Allow me to help." she said to me. 

"Your scent..." Tanjiro started but Lady Tamayo cut him off. 

"That's right, I'm a demon. But I'm also a doctor, and like you I want to annihilate Kibutsuji." Lady Tamayo said. 

~Time-skip~

Tanjiro and I were back at the udon cart. The man was yelling at us about not eating our udon. I tried to placate the man.

"Sir, I told you that we would be back. We will happily eat the bowls you gave us earlier. However, they are cold, do you mind reheating it, then we will eat it I promise." I told him bowing. 

"You're going to eat it?" he asked.

"Of course!" Tanjiro and I exclaimed.

"Alright then." he said taking out cold bowls of udon and going to warm them. He came back and we ate our bowls. 

When we finished, Tanjiro turned to me and started talking.

"I thought I told you to stay here." he accused.

"You did, but I wasn't about to let you go confront Muzan without backup. I hid in the shadows and waited until you needed help." I told him, crossing my arms. 

"Y-you..." he stumbled, trying to find a rebuttal. I smirked at him. 

"You can come out now." I said turning in the direction where I sensed Yushiro was. Tanjiro was confused for a minute, until he saw Yushiro coming out from behind a tree. 

"You were waiting for us." I stated the obvious.

"I was told to bring you to see her." Yushiro stated.

"I could've tracked you by scent." Tanjiro said.

"She's in a place that's under a cloaking spell. You wouldn't be able to find."

'Bet!' I thought. 

"Cloaking?" Tanjiro asked confused. 

"Anyway, isn't she a demon?" Yushiro asked pointing to me.

"Obviously. And it's rude to point." I told him rolling my eyes.

"And you're an eyesore." Yushiro said, putting his hand down. I narrowed my eyes at him.

'Bitch, I'm gorgeous!' I exclaimed in my head.

"You want to say that again?" I growled. His eyes went wide, before he schooled his expression

"An eyesore!! Nezuko?! She was the beauty of our hometown!" Tanjiro defended. 

"Let's go." Yushiro said, ignoring my brother. 

We followed him and Tanjiro defended my honor the whole way. It was sweet but it was starting to get annoying.

"Tanjiro, I love you. But please, shut up. He is entitled to his opinions." I told my brother.

'No matter how inaccurate they are.' 

"But Nezuko!" Tanjiro whined.

"Oh stop whining. I don't care what others think of me." I told him, he looked at me and just nodded.

Suddenly, Yushiro disappeared into a wall. This made Tanjiro stop in his tracks.

"Huh!?" he exclaimed shocked.

"Remember what he said, it's cloaked. It's most likely a false wall." I told him, walking towards the wall. 

"Wait, Nez-" but he cut himself off when Yushiro popped his head out of the cloaking spell.

"Hurry it up. While no one's around." he said then went back inside the spell. I walked towards the wall and walked through it, Tanjiro right behind me.
