Lenny's POV
Then the phone dies.A load of emotions run through me like water flowing down a river: sadness, frustration, anger and most of all fear. The girls look at me with a confused look in their eyes. I tell them that just after the man asked who I would like to speak to, the phone died. I hand it over to Milly to have a look.
"It's no use, unless we find somewhere to charge it. Which is unlikely since we discovered the electricity went out this morning." She says, after a minute of examining the iPhone. We all sit down together, surrounding Annica, who is sleeping.
"Well, we have to at least try and help Annica ourselves." I say, anxious to help her.
"I agree. I think we should unravel the t shirt off her arm and then re tie it. We can have a look at the cut and clean it with some water." Milly exclaims.
I look over to Abby who has been quiet ever since the phone died.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
Abby's POV
"Are you okay?" Lenny asks me."Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking things through." But that's not what my mind is telling me.
"I'm just going to go for a walk down to the creek. I'll collect some fresh water for Annica." I say, just wanting to clear my head after what happened earlier. I had been waiting for Lenny to ring triple zero when suddenly I realised that the shoes on my feet that I was staring at were black, not the bright blue that they normally are. I started to freak out, what was happening!? Not wanting to worry the others, I take Benny who happily comes along, wagging his tail.
The creek is cold, freezing cold. My toes are icy and I am starting to shiver. I suddenly get this sharp pain in my head and I am forced to close my eyes. When I open them again I am very confused. My shoes, are still the unusual black. But my normal Aqua coloured gloves have turned white. Benny whines and when I look down and see his worried face, I realise I am crying. Tears pouring down my cold face I run back to the others, the ground gradually turning black and white as I run. I come into the clearing where Lenny, Milly and Annica were. I stop in sudden shock as there is nothing there.
I begin running again and scream out there names, tripping over my shoelaces. Finally after tree branches whipping and rocks flicking up I come to my group of friends."ABBY!!" Lenny yells and runs over to me. I sob heavily and fall into his comforting arms.

Lenny's POV
Milly and I are nursing Annica's arm with water. It is looking much better. The cut is slowly healing but because of Annica's huge loss of blood she is still extremely pale and weak."I am really getting anxious about Abby. She has been gone for so long." Milly says quietly.
"Should I go and look for her? Maybe she got lost." But before I could go searching anywhere Abby came bursting out of the bushes, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"ABBY!!" I yell, noticing small scratches from what looks like tree branches on her arms. Her fingers are almost blue and she is shivering uncontrollably.
I quickly rush over to her and as soon as I reach her she falls into my arms. Sobbing her heart out. Between deep breathing and tears she slowly explains what has happened.
We soon find out that Abby cannot see certain things in colour anymore. Looking at her shoes Abby sees them as black and her Aqua gloves she sees them as white."T-t-the ground is all black and white too!" Abby stutters. Obviously she has had a big shock. We lay her down, next to Annica and in two seconds she has fallen asleep.
