SCREAMING

SCREAMING. IT WAS THE FIRST THING DELILAH HEARD WHEN SHE GOT HOME THAT NIGHT. The brunette had just finished a shift at the ER and was ready to pass out. However, the screaming from George's room required her immediate assistance.

She made her way to his bedroom upstairs and knocked softly on the door. She slowly pushed it open and peeked inside. "Hey, guys. I heard the screaming. Everything okay?" Delilah asked as she stepped into the room.

Meredith groaned. "No! Everything is not okay. He's a brain surgeon. You would think he has some common sense up there," she grumbled.

Then, it was Izzie's turn to complain. "I fell for it. I can't believe I fell for it. He's an ass. I shaved my legs for him, and he couldn't even follow through," she fumed.

The brunette let them yell, allowing them to get all the anger out of their systems before attempting to help. Once the two women had calmed down, she made her move.

"Okay, so what I'm hearing from the both of you is that men are assholes? Tell me something I don't already know," she began. "As the resident fairy godmother and mood booster that I am, I have two tubs of Rocky Road in the fridge and chocolate chip cookies from the bakery down the street."

When Izzie and Meredith didn't move, Delilah sighed. "Alright. It's that kind of night, isn't it?" she mumbled under her breath. She nodded to herself and prepared to give the greatest pep talk known to man.

She started with Izzie, heading to the side of the bed she was laying on. With a tug on the blonde's right arm, Izzie was sitting up and glared at her. "Alex is an ass. We all knew that. You decided to give him a chance anyway. You chose to believe that there is good in him. Did it blow up in your face? Yes, it did, but will you learn from it? Yes, you will," Delilah afirmed.

The blonde didn't respond, so Delilah assumed she was still processing her words and decided to move on. She crouched down by Meredith's side and stared at her. Delilah was trying to decipher what kind of pep talk she needed.

With a nod, the brunette tugged on Meredith's arm and pulled her into a seating position. "Derek sucks. He's putting both you and Addison into this situation and pitting you against one another because he can't let go. Everyone and their mother knows that Derek and Addison's relationship is over. It was over a long time ago. Even before the cheating," she said.

Delilah took Meredith's hand in hers. "I can see that Derek loves you, and you might too. However, I, as your sister, can not let you go through with this. He loves you, but he also loves her. Even if he goes around calling her an adulterous bitch, there's still that part of him that was married to her for eleven years. That's why he hasn't signed the papers yet. And that's why I think you should move on," Delilah advised.

Meredith pouted. "What if I don't want to move on? He's my McDreamy," she said.

"Then I'll be here for you as you heal, providing you with all the ice cream and cuddles you need," Delilah promised. "That goes for you too, Izzie. I'm always here if either of you need it. Whether it be a hug or advice. My door is always open."
