Chapter 8 : Need a shovel

"Why are we going to the school?"

"I called the office and they said Mr. Clark was leaving the school. Which means that AV Club was probably cancelled. But your brother didn't call me." 

"Mom, maybe he just forgot."

"Sofie, I just feel like there's something wrong. And I need you incase I need backup."

"Backup from what?" 

"I don't even know." She took a sharp turn into the parking lot and stopped the car. 

She jumped out of the car and I followed after her. She speed-walked into the school. She started jogging through the hallways looking for the AV room. 

We found it and the door was wide open. The lights were on but there was no one there. 

"Well, I guess now we have to look everywhere." I said as I turned on my heel and walked out. 

We were running around the place looking for Will and it was like the kid had just disappeared. 

"Sofie, we've been looking everywhere. He's not here. We're gonna need a miracle to find Will."

"Will!" I heard Dustin yell from the nearest hallway. 

"Or maybe we just need a Henderson." I said while walking with Mom towards the hallway. 

"Dustin, where's Will?" Mom asked when we rounded the corner. 

"We don't kno-"

The door from further down the other hall hit the wall. We all turned to look. It was Lucas. 

"Field." Was all he said. 

We all started for the door. I ran as fast as I could. Once we started to get closer, I could see Will. Mike was with him. 

"I just found him like this! I think he's having another episode!" Mike let out quickly. 

Mom pushed past all of us and held onto Will's shoulder. 

"Will! Honey, you have to wake up! Wake up!" 

It was all happening so fast. 

I looked around at the kids and they looked confused and scared. 

I looked back at Mom and Will and he still wasn't waking up. 

"Will! Wake up!" 

I didn't know what to do. I put my hand down on his shoulder and everything went black. 

It was like I was shot out of my body. When my vision came back it was like I was in the void, but it was so loud. It was loud, dark, and windy. I didn't know what was happening. It was like all the wind was going into something or all going in one direction. I tried to look around for anything that could give me a sign or indication of what was happening or where I was. I turned and I thought my mind was playing tricks on me.

It looked like a giant spider or the monster Will was drawing this morning. 

"Oh my god." I whispered. 

"Will, you have to wake up! Wake up!" That was the only thing I heard when everything stopped. 

I fell back, but was caught by Mike. 

I looked at him and he looked at me. 

Mom was hugging Will and he was finally awake. 

"What just happened?" I whispered to Mike as I stood up on my own. 

"I don't know." He whispered back. 

Mom had pulled me with her back in the direction of the car. 

The kids were following behind us, but it was quiet.
