I'm cold

It was 8:30 pm, and I had just returned home from my shift. As I entered the apartment, I noticed my roommate, Niko, asleep on the couch with a pile of blankets. I went up to him and touched his forehead, only to find that he was burning up with fever.

I went to my room to put down my stuff and went back outside to check up on him. I kneeled down to his level and shake him gently. His eyes fluttered open and closed.

Standing up, I made my way to the kitchen, fetched a bowl, and filled it halfway with cold water. Taking a small clean towel, I soaked it in the water and returned to Niko. Placing the bowl on the table, I sat down carefully beside him.

Taking the damp towel from the bowl, I squeezed out the excess water and placed it gently on Niko's forehead. He reacted to the sudden coldness, clearly not enjoying it

y: you're burning up, Niko. ~ I say softly. He nods his head. I repeated the same process 2-3x

y: do you need anything? Are you hungry?
Niko: I'm cold ~ I removed the towel and put it back in the bowl, then went to my room and grabbed my own blanket.

Returning outside, I lay down next to Niko, covering both of us with the blanket. I could still feel him shivering.
Niko: Hold me ~ he says gently. I move closer to him making sure there were no gaps between us. He lays his head on my chest wrapping his arms around my waist. I felt his body start to calm down.
I gently caressed his face repeatedly
y: your face is so soft ~ I feel a smile grow on him

Next morning

I woke up to find Niko still sleeping on me. As I tried to move, he nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck, unwilling to let go. After gently attempting to free myself, he held me even tighter

Niko: Don't leave me
y: I'll be right back. ~ He opens the arms letting me go. My neck hurted from sleeping on the couch. I go into my room and see my bed was made. ugh it looks so comfy and cozy. I flop on it and stayed there for a second. I went back outside
y: Niko let's go to my room. Come on ~ I pull him up and help him grab the blankets. We flopped on my bed and ended up cuddling.
