Jealous

Niko and I attended this event for content creators together, with me as his plus one. The venue was filled with people dressed in their finest suits and beautiful dresses. We found our seats and joined Aj, Sharky, Kenny, Chunkz, and Nella.

During the event I whispered in Niko's ear

y: I have to use the restroom. I'll be right back
Niko: Do you want me to come with you?
y: no it's fine.
Niko: okay ~ I rose from my seat and made my way towards the restroom.

As I finished using the restroom and on my way back a familiar voice called out my name. I turned to see Denny, a friend who i've never seen in awhile

Denny: Oh my gosh, y/n! It's been so long!
y: Denny! I can't believe it's you! How have you been? ~ I went up to him and gave him a hug
Denny: I'm doing well, girl. How about you? (Denny is into men and is in a relationship with a dude, Xavier)
y: I'm also doing well, how's Xavier?
Denny: you want to come and say hi?
y: I would love to! ~ With linked arms, Denny and I made our way to Xavier.

Niko's pov

I began to wonder why y/n was taking longer than usual. Harry walks over to us

Harry: Hello guys! ~ He gives all of us a handshake. He takes a seat next to me
Niko: Hey, excuse me guys ima check up on y/n in the bathroom
Harry: Oh, she's over there. ~ he says pointing. I saw her chatting with someone. I couldn't help but feel curious and a bit of jealously. I lean back in my seat manspreading, just staring at her

y: I should head back to my table. It was nice talking to you guys! ~ I give them both a hug
Xavier&Denny: Bye ~ I head back to the table and sat next to Niko.
y: hey sorry I was catching up with some friends
Niko: sure you were
y: did you say something?
Niko: No ~ I noticed Niko avoiding eye contact and I sensed that something was off between us. I gently held his jaw, guiding his gaze to mine.
y: you okay?
Niko: Yeah, are you?
y: mhm ~ As I reached out to hold his hand, he pushed my hand away, deepening the tension between us. Frustrated, I sighed and went on my phone for the rest of the evening.

After the event
*Car ride home*

The silence weighed heavily upon us, until I finally broke it.
y: so are you going to tell me what was that all about?
Niko: No. So who was your friend?
y: huh?
Niko: the friend you caught up with
y: oh yeah! Denny-
Niko: Did you guys use to have a thing or something?
y: Niko- Stop you sound ridiculous.
Niko: i mean you two were being touchy with each other.
y: you're actually serious?
Niko: What? I just wanna know.
y: why are you giving me attitude?
Niko: Answer me, did you have a thing with him?!
y: omg no! ~ He starts to speed up
Niko: I don't believe you
y: Niko Stop! Slow down! what the heck are you doing!?
Niko: Tell me the truth!
y: No! Niko he's -
Niko: I don't believe you. ~ he say trying not to hear me out
y: Please slow down, Niko he's just a friend and-
Niko: So? Who cares if you're just friends with him. He could still like you. ~ I laugh in frustration
y: Pull over right now. ~ he pulls over. I open the door
y: He's into men Niko. I was literally catching up with him. I've known him since I was little. ~ I was about to step out the car
Niko: wait- Where are you going? get in please
y: no, I don't want to. I'll catch an uber home. ~ I close the door and walked away

Niko/t: Gosh i'm such an idiot

Finally, reaching home, I entered the house to find myself feeling empty without Niko's presence. After taking a shower, I wrapped myself in a cozy blanket and waited on the couch, hoping for Niko's return.

Time passed, and eventually, I heard the front door open. I turned my head to see Niko standing there.

Niko's pov

y: Niko? ~ she sat up and I sit right next to her
y: hey, why are you crying? ~ She says softly, touching my face with both of her hands
Niko: I'm sorry. I'm such an idiot. I didn't mean to yell, I just got jealous and thought you were going to leave me and I shouldn't jump into conclusions-
y: hey it's okay, I forgive you. I love you and only you. Just know I would never ever do that. Never in my life. I chose you, and I continue to choose you every day. Nothing could ever make me leave your side. ~ she gives me a peck on the lips
Niko: I love you
y: I love you more. Let's go to bed I'm tired ~ she pulls me up and we make our way to bed.
