Serendipity

My friends and I, along with the Beta Squad, decided to travel to Las Vegas for some fun

Aside from Niko, all of my friends were in relationships with the boys. So Niko and I were the only ones who weren't in a relationship. We don't see each other in that way. We see each other more as friends who don't like each other.

Upon arriving at the hotel we had booked, Chunkz shared the room arrangements.

Chunkz: I've booked five hotel rooms, with two people per room. And just so you know, each room has two beds.
y: Oooh, I'll bunk with Nella then!
Chunkz: Sorry, she's staying with me, obviously.
y: Alright then... I call Katie!
Sharky: Apologies, y/n, she's bunking with me.
y: Ugh, fine... I call-
Aj: I call dibs on my GIRLFRIEND! ~ emphasizing 'girlfriend'
Aj: Bella.
y: Aj... ~ he wraps his arm around her
Aj: Sorry.

Before I could make a choice for my roommate, Kenny claimed Kayla by wrapping his arm around her.
Kenny: Dibs.
y: Oh, come on!
Chunkz: Looks like you're stuck with Niko as your roommate. ~ He hands us each a key card. They all walk away, leaving Niko and me behind.

Niko: Well, it seems you're stuck with me. ~ He playfully wraps his arm around my shoulder, but I push it off.

~In the hotel room~
We approach the door.

y: You've got to be kidding me! ~ I exclaim upon seeing only one bed.

We both settle inside, putting our things down.
y: You'll be sleeping on the couch, right?
Niko: No. ~ He chuckles.
Niko: You are. ~ I sarcastically laugh.
y: No, you!~ We argue over who gets the bed, and eventually, we both agree that I will take it.

When it was time to go to bed, I noticed Niko becoming increasingly uncomfortable on the couch.
y: Sleep tight. ~ I say, closing the lamp next to me and drifting off to sleep.

In the middle of the night, I wake up to the sound of Niko shuffling around on the couch. Seeing his discomfort, I start feeling guilty. I approach him and gently shake him to wake up.

y: Come, sleep on the bed.
Niko: What?
y: Just come, you're making a lot of noise while sleeping. ~ He stands up, and we both make our way to the bed. I place a pillow between us.

~The next morning~
Niko's POV:
I wake up to find y/n sleeping on my chest, her hands wrapped around my waist. She looks incredibly adorable from where I'm lying. I gently push a strand of her hair back and plant a soft kiss on her forehead.
y: Niko?
Niko: Go back to sleep, it's early. ~ She nods and nuzzles her head into the crook of my neck, making me smile.

~ hours later ~
y/n POV:
I wake up to find myself enveloped in Niko's arms. I sit up to stretch and head to the bathroom to start my morning routine. As I'm brushing my teeth, a sudden realization hits me—I woke up in Niko's arms. After finishing brushing, I step out of the bathroom.

y: We just fell asleep, right?
Niko: No, we had a total makeout session. ~ He teases, causing me to cover my mouth in shock.
y: You're lying. ~ I stammer, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and confusion. He bursts into laughter and playfully walks into the bathroom.
y: Hey! We didn't, did we?
Niko: Don't worry about it.
y: What do you mean, 'don't worry about it'?
Niko: it's 10:30 am, and you're already getting mad.
y: I'm not mad, I'm just curious. ~ He walks out of the bathroom, a mischievous smile on his face.
Niko: No, we didn't. I was just messing with you... But you did roll over to my side and cuddle me. ~ He walks toward me, and I instinctively fall back onto the bed as he leans close to my face.

Niko: I mean... we could have a makeout session right now. ~ He says in his deep voice, his eyes full of playful desire. I find myself captivated by his attractiveness.
y: Uh... I... get off of me. ~ I manage to say, pushing him off as he falls onto the bed, laughing, while I quickly stand up.
Niko: Aww, I made you nervous.
y: Niko, shut up. ~ I grab my phone and hastily walk out of the room, seeking refuge in Chunkz and Nella's room.

I knock on their door and, as soon as it opens, I rush in, heading straight for Nella.
Chunkz: Good morning to you too. ~ He comments, and I crawl into bed with Nella, desperately wanting to hide from the embarrassing situation.
y: Nella, I never want to go back into our room.
Nella: Why? What happened? Did you guys...?
y: No! No, we didn't! ~ I exclaim, squirming at the mere thought.
Nella: Then what happened?
y: Ugh, Nella...
Chunkz: We have breakfast in 20 minutes, so get ready. We have a long day ahead of us. ~ I look at Nella, silently pleading for her to save me.

I slowly walk back into the room, relieved to see that Niko isn't there. My heart rate gradually returns to normal as I begin picking out an outfit. I head to the bathroom to change, and once I'm done, I lightly apply makeup and put my hair up in a low, messy bun. I spritz on some perfume, and just as I'm finishing up, Niko walks in.

Niko: Did you just run away from me? ~ He wraps his arms around me from behind, attempting to pull me close.
y: No. ~ I turn around to face him, escaping his embrace.
Niko: You look amazing, by the way. ~ He steps closer to me, his lips almost touching mine. I lean in, and our lips meet

Just as things begin to intensify, we hear a knock on the door, causing us to pull away abruptly. I rush to open it, finding Nella standing there.
Nella: Ready to go?
y: Uh... actually, I'll skip breakfast, but I'll meet up with you guys later.
Nella: Are you sure?
y: Yeah.
Nella: Okay. ~ I close the door, leaving Niko and me alone again.
I turn around to face Niko, who is now wearing a playful grin.
Niko: "So, where were we?"
