Chapter 10

CHARLOTE POV.

It was my dad. "Charlotte!" He yelled as he started to walk towards me. I just stood there and couldn't believe my eyes. I had no idea where my dad was but I thought he moved back to his home town. I ran away. I ran as fast as I could not thinking about anything. I picked Bell up because she was too small to run as fast as I could. "Charlotte wait!" He yelled as he got in his car and started to chase after me.

I was only a few streets away from the house so I didn't have far to run. But he was right behind me. I turned into the street where I lived and I saw dad standing out the front. I was so tired but I knew what my 'other dad' was capable of. I ran up the drive way with Bell in my right hand and I pulled dad into the house with my left hand. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked as I slammed the door and locked it. I saw my 'other dad' drive by. Great, now he knows where I live. "That was just my dad, I was walking and he started to chase me. Now he knows where I live," I said in one breath as I started to cry. All the guys came into the room and crowded around me.

"What's wrong?" Nash asked dad. "Her dad is back and he knows where she lives," I heard him say. I looked up from the ground to see all these eyes look at me, I was so afraid. "Hey Char, we won't let him hurt you okay? Everyone can stay over and we can protect you," Dad said to me as he crouched down. "You promise?" I asked. "I promise," He replied before I gave him a tight hug.

"Lets have some lunch," Kate said as she pulled me into the kitchen where Hayes was sitting after finding out what happened. I sat down beside him. "Are you okay?" He asked touching my hand. "Yeah, I'm okay," I replied as I pulled my hand away from his. "That's good," He said before he walked off. "Why did you do that?" Kate asked as she handed me a sandwich, "I don't know," I replied before I took a bit of my lunch. "What?" I asked.

"He likes you Char!" She told me. "He is like my brother," I said before I took my sandwich and headed up into my room with Bell. "Can I come in?" Aaron asked as he knocked on my door. "Yeah," I replied as I sat up from my bed. "Me and you dad have been talking and we thought that you and Bell would like to come and live with me Taylor, Carter and Shawn for a bit," "Really! That would be so much fun!" I said excitedly. "So is that a yes?" Aaron asked. "Yes!" I said before I gave him a huge hug.

4 days later*

CHARLOTTE POV.

I've spent 4 days with Aaron, Taylor, Carter and Shawn. It has been so cool but I have missed home so much. "See you soon little princess," Taylor said as I hopped out of the car. "See you soon," I replied laughing. I walked through the door and got tackled by Nash. "Your back!" He yelled. I started laughing really hard. "Yes, and I think you just broke my arm," I replied while I was still laughing. "Dude don't break her," I heard Hayes say from around the corner, he helped me up. "Thanks," I said with a smile. 4 days away from Hayes made me realise something, I did love him... As a brother. "Nice to have you back," He said walking me upstairs, "Nice to be back," I replied before I ran into dad's room. It was around 10:00 so I expected dad to be up. I walked into his room to see him asleep with some girl beside him.

"Little girl, do you mind?" The lady said as I stood there in shock. "Oh um I am um sorry," I replied before I slammed the door. I heard dad yell my name but I ran to my room before I could say anything. I slammed the door and next thing I knew the door opened. I thought it was dad, who else would of it been? "Hey are you okay?" Johnson said as he opened my door. "Jack!" I said as I ran up and hugged him. "I've missed you so much!" I said as I sniffled.

"I missed you too," "Well at least someone did," I said as I pulled away and wiped my eyes. "Oh, I see you met Lucy, my sister," Jack said as he walked towards my bed and sat down. "Wait what?" I said as I sat down next to him. "That was my thoughts exactly, actually no. I may of punched him but you know, it was expected," He said making me laugh. "How is dad dating your sister?" I asked. "Well, they met at Magcon 2 years ago when I took Lucy and she came back the day after you left," He told me. "Oh," I replied looking at the ground. "Char," Dad said standing at the door, I smiled until I saw that Lucy chick stand behind him.

"Took you long enough," I said as I walked passed him and down to the kitchen. I sat in the kitchen with Nash and Hayes when Johnson left and started talking. None of us liked Lucy, well the 3 seconds that I saw her. Next thing I knew she walked down the stairs and out the door. "Char I am so sorry you had to see that!" Dad said as he sat next to me. The room went really quiet. I could see Nash thinking on the opposite side of the kitchen said. "Oh I don't care, as long as she makes you happy," I said. "Oh, um, I don't think it is anything serious," He told me. "Oh good, I didn't really like her anyway," I said making all of us laugh.

After watching Nemo which was dad's choice I decided to go to bed. I was so exhausted because me and Shawn would play basketball together every morning and then have a sing-off even though I was a terrible singer and then Aaron would give my Math, English and History work to do since we were now getting home schooled. I was on my new laptop trying to figure out how to work it when there was a knock on my door. "Come in," I said as I sat up. "Can't sleep?" Hayes asked as he walked in my room leaving the door open. "Nah, just trying to work this thing out," I said clicking the button 80 times. "Here, let me help you," He said as he sat on the other side of my bed and started to help me.

It was almost 2 in the morning and I was determined to figure out how to work this laptop but Hayes, not so much. He was asleep beside me, so I decided to go to sleep as well since I had to go into school and do a final exam before I can 'officially' get home schooled. My bed was a single, so it was pretty tight.

I woke up to my alarm going off which meant that it was 6:15. Great, I thought to myself as I rolled over. I opened my eyes to see Hayes staring at me, which scared me so much, I kinda fell off my bed. Dad and Nash came running in, "What's wrong?" Dad asked as me and Hayes while we were laughing hilariously. I was on the ground holding my stomach in tears from laughter then next thing I knew, Hayes fell on the ground which made dad and Nash start to laugh as well. I thought I was going to die....
