CHARLOTTE POV.

It was a quiet Sunday morning when I was walking Bell. She was pretty big now and needed to be walked almost everyday. Nash and I would take turns walking her. I walked down to the beach that I lived right by. It was beautiful to say the least. I was out for almost an hour and a half until I had to head back home.

When I walked in the front door I could hear yelling. I walked in to see Hayes yelling at Nash. I just stood there for a minute until they realised that I was there. "What's going on?" I asked as I let Bell off of the lead. "Yeah Nash, what's going on?" Hayes said before he stormed up stairs. We were left in the kitchen with silence until you heard a door slammed which was obviously Hayes'. "So? What's going on?" I asked just standing there. "Hayes' is moving back to North Carolina," He said with not a lot of emotion on his face. I felt my heart drop.

"Why?" I stuttered in shock. "Because, his grades have dropped and other stuff, mom thinks its best for him," He said before starting to walk to the couch. "When you say other stuff, do you mean me?" I asked still staying in my regular spot.

He just turned around and looked at me signalling yes. I quickly walked upstairs and knocked on Hayes' door. I walked in and saw him laying on his bed doing nothing. "Hey," I said simply. "Hi," He replied not moving.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I started to walk closer to him. "Yeah, I'm great," he said sarcastically. "Okay," I replied just standing there before I turned around and walked out of his room.

The rest of the day sucked. You could hear Hayes' practically yelling to his mom over the phone as he was in his room. I just stayed away from the drama. I didn't want him to leave, even after everything that has happened. I just spent the rest of the day in my room until I finally fell asleep to the sound of music playing from my laptop.

MONDAY MORNING*

We were late for school again. I couldn't really be bothered to wake up early anymore. I quickly hopped out of the car and started to walk to my first class which was Math. I walked into the classroom after Hayes' went the other direction. He was leaving on Thursday, and honestly, this time it is certain. I walked in and we had a substitute teacher which wasn't too bad. He was okay I guess, I had before for History. Mr Riley.

"Why are you late young lady? He asked as I started to walk to a desk. "Traffic," I simply replied. I wasn't lying, the traffic was actually bad, I just didn't tell him the part where I slept in until the time that I normally leave the house.

"Was the traffic that bad that you missed 25 minutes of my class?" He asked as the class went silent. "Yes, it was that bad," I said as I sat down crossing my legs. "What is with the attitude?" He asked glaring at me.

"I have no attitude," I simply replied once again. "If you keep this up young missy, you will find yo..." He was interrupted by a knock on the door. The lady from the front office walked in and saved me from possibly a detention. Yes! I thought to myself. "Sorry Mr Riley for interrupting your class, but we have a new student," She said as she turned around looking at the doorway.

All you see is this blond hair boy walk through the door, then it clicked. It was Joel. He immediately looked over at me and gave me a smirk. My expression on my face must have been priceless because he started to giggle. "Come and take a seat," Mr Riley said as Joel started to walk but still keep eye contact.

He looked different, good different I guess. He walked past my desk and stopped before he whispered something to me. "Did you miss me?" He said while smirking and than walking to the back of the class. Great.
