Chapter 21

CHARLOTTE POV.

I could hear voices. Familiar voices. I opened my eyes to feel automatic pain making me groan due to pain. "She's awake!" I heard someone say as I opened my eyes to see all the guys in my room. "Charlotte!" dad said as he stood over my body laying in the bed. "Where am I?" I asked as I rubbed my head in pain. "In the hospital," I heard Cam say making me look to the other side of my bed. "What happened?" I continued to ask. "You got hit by a car, you have a broken arm and ligament damage and head damage but that's it," I heard Nash say.

I just looked up at him, I sat up in my bed. I saw everyone that was in my room. "Hi," Hayes said to me as he layed beside me on my bed. "Hi," I replied with a small smile on my face. I saw Nash, Cam, the Jacks, Taylor, Shawn and Carter standing in the room as I saw dad walk out of the room. I then saw Carter and Shawn leave the room too, I am assuming they were chasing after dad.

MATT POV.

2 hours before*

Charlotte was laying on the cold ground, not a movement in her innocent body. One of the guys called 911 and shortly after the ambulance came. By now, there were heaps of people crowding Charlotte and me holding her. I got in the back of the ambulance with Charlotte and the other guys were going to meet us at the hospital.

The guy in the back of the ambulance started to ask me all these questions but I couldn't answer because I was in shock. We stopped and the doctors came and took Charlotte through the hospital door. I turned around before I walked through the doors to see all the guys running up behind me. "Sir, you have to stay here," The nurse with short brown eyes and crystal blue eyes told me as she put her hand on my chest stopping me from chasing after Charlotte.

I just stood there with a tear leaving my eye and sliding down my hot red cheeks. "She'll be okay dude," Nash said as he put his hand on my back. The doctor came out after doing surgery on her broken arm that had bad ligament damage. "She is in her room, she is critical because of her head damage but she should be fine in a few weeks. You are able to see her, all of you but only for a few minutes, then 4 of you can stay. I will show you her room," The doctor said before he walked away directing me and the guys to Charlottes room.

He took us to her room and I was standing at the door, her arm was wrapped in a bandage, had a bandage over her forehead and the back of her head and had all sorts of 'chords' hooked up to her that was on her chest. She looked so pale, white as ice. "Are you coming?" The doctor asked. "Um, yeah," I said as I took small steps heading to her delicate body, she wasn't awake. "I will be back in 45 minutes, then 4 of you can stay," The doctor said before he walked out the door with no emotion.

Hayes and I were beside her bedside as Cam and Johnson went to get coffee and the other guys were sitting in the corner. Hayes looked up at me as he was holding her hand, "I'm sorry Matt, I just couldn't help it," He said as he looked back down at her as his eyes started to fill up with tears. "Do you honestly have feelings for her?" I asked. "Yes," He replied as he started to stroke her hand. I believe that he was telling the truth. "Don't hurt her," I told him. "I promise, than..." He started to say before Charlotte started to move.

Present*

Charlotte started to ask all these questions but didn't even realise that I was there in the room, so I left. I went out in the hallway starting to pace like I do when I'm nervous and scared, Carter and Shawn then came out almost immediately. "Dude? She is okay, she is awake," Carter said as he walked towards me. "It's all my fault! The doctor told me that her arm is that badly damaged that he doesn't know if she will be able to use it or even move it!" I said as I slid down the wall with my head in my hands.

I looked up to see Carter and Shawn staring at each other, not knowing what to say. "You need to get back in there and be there for her, she needs you Matt," Shawn said grabbing my attention. Shawn was right I needed to be there for Charlotte. So I got up and wiped the tears away from my face and walked into her hospital room.

"Dad!" She said as she looked over at me with a smile. I walked over to her bed, "Hey Char," I said as I faked a little smile for her. "I'm so sorry about that fight!" She said as her brown eyes started to water. "Hey, it's okay. It's over now," I said as I wiped away one of her tears, she then smiled. "Guys, only four of you can stay, who will it be?" The nurse with the brown hair and blues eyes said. "Um, who wants to stay?" I asked.

"Well we have to go soon," Both the Jacks said. "I will stay," Taylor said. "Yeah me too!" Hayes said as he sat up in her bed. "Nash?" I asked. "Yeah of course," He replied. "So it's me, Taylor, Hayes and Nash," I said to the nurse as she wrote our names down. "Okay, I will be back to check on her in a minute," She said before she walked out writing something on her clip board.

CHARLOTTE POV.

Only four of the guys could stay, so Taylor, Nash, Hayes and dad decided to stay with me. "Do you want to watch a movie?" Hayes asked he layed beside me with his laptop. "Sure," I replied with a small smile. Taylor and Nash was sitting on the couch as dad sat in the chair beside me. "I'm glad that you are okay," Hayes said as he picked a movie. "Me too," I responded.

I then shortly fell asleep with the best people in the world sleeping in the room with me. I was sound asleep until I heard a voice in the room, I opened my eyes and saw the nurse beside my bed writing notes in her folder. "Sorry honey, I was just checking on you," She said with a smile. "It's okay," I replied. "So how are you?" She asked as she sat on my bed. "Well my head really hurts, and my arm is hurting like crazy!" I told her.

"Okay, I will see if I can get you something for the pain," She said as she got up off of the bed. "Thank you," I replied. "Oh honey, by the way, my name is Christina, I will be your nurse until you are ready to leave," She said with a smile before she walked away. All the guys were still asleep due to it only being 2 in the morning, so I decided to go back to bed as well.
