CHARLOTTE POV.
Today was moving day. I was pretty excited but then at the same time, this was the house where my life turned around. I didn't want to move but I knew it was the best because Taylor was moving in, and besides, who doesn't love a new house?
"You ready to go?" Nash asked as he snapped me out of my day dream as I was staring at my empty room. "Yeah," I said as I started to exit the room. Every one was already at the new house unpacking the first load of boxes, me and Nash were just picking up some stuff that was left here. We got in the car and drove across town. It was a beautiful day. No clouds in the sky. It was peaceful.
"Is this the house?" I asked as Nash drove up the extremely large driveway. "Yeah. What, don't you like it?" He asked as he continued to drive. "No no no. I love it," I said as I looked at the large white house with several windows at the front. "Matt thought you would," He said as he stopped the car. We got out of the car and started to walk towards the house. It was pretty large. Our old house was pretty big, but this was huge.
We walked through the double doors. There was a white staircase that we saw as soon as we walked through the doors. "Where is everyone?" Nash asked as he walked up the stairs leaving me staring at the beautiful whit kitchen. "You like it?" A voice asked behind me surprising me. I turned around to see Hayes standing at the bottom of the stair case. "Yes. It's beautiful and I haven't even seen upstairs yet," I continued to say as I started to walk around.
"Well in that case you are going to have to look upstairs at your room," Hayes said as he started to guide me up the stairs. "Wait why?" I asked as he stopped half way up the stairs. "Because your room is massive, and you have your own bathroom," He said as he started to walk again. The stairs were pretty long. "Where is everyone?" I asked as we got up at the top of the stairs. "They are out the back fixing something with the pool," "Wait we have a pool?" I asked surprised."Yeah," He said as he walked into a room. I followed behind him. I walked into the room which was huge! There was 2 windows that I saw as soon as I walked through the door way. "It's so big!" I said as I walked into the walk in closet and bathroom. "So I'm guessing you like it?" Hayes asked as he followed me. "I love it! What's your room like?" I asked as we walked back into my room. "It's pretty similar to your room, I'm opposite of you," He said as he walked out of his room and into his.
The whole time he walked out I couldn't help but stare. Just before he walked out of sight he turned around and looked at me with a small grin on his face. "I told you," He said before he shut the door still with a grin on his face. What just happened? I was left just staring at Hayes light cream door. "Charlotte?" Someone yelled from the bottom of the stairs. "Coming!" I shouted back. It was dad. We had a conversation before having lunch.
We spent the rest of the day unpacking. "Do you want to spend the night?" Dad asked. "Can we go back to the old house?" I asked. "If you want," he said as he started going through emails on his phone. "Are you coming with?" I asked as I sat with Bell on the floor. "Yeah, Taylor is coming too," "Okay," I said as I got up and walked up the flight of stairs. I got up to my room. I just stood in the door way admiring the view of the sunset through my window.
"Hey," A voice scared me from behind. I turned around almost immediately to see Hayes standing there. "Oh hi," I said as I put a strand of my hair behind my ear. "Did I scare you?" He asked as he took a step towards me. "just a bit," I said with a fete smile. "Well sorry," "It's okay," I said as I just stood there. I am quite an awkward person. "So?" I said as I just stood there like a weirdo. "You going back to the old house?" He asked.
"Yeah, just one last time," I said as I turned back around to watch the sunset. "Why?" He asked as he stood directly beside me. "Because, that was where everything turned good for me, and besides, it has mostly good memories," "Mostly?" He asked as he looked at me. "Yeah, most was good memories," I said as I looked back over at him.
"What wasn't the good memories?" He asked still looking at me. "You know," "What?" He continued to ask. "When we broke up," I said as I broke the eye-contact. "Really?" He asked. "Of course, you didn't mean totally nothing to me," I said angrily. How could he honestly think that he meant nothing to me.
"I know I'm sorry," He said sincerely. "What ever," I said before I just walked off. Once we were all ready to go we got in the car. We were just about to leave until Hayes came running out of the house with a bag with him. "Can I come too?" He asked through Taylor's side of the window. "Yeah, come on get in," Dad said. Hayes got in the back seat next to me.
"What?" He asked as I just stared at him. "Nothing," I mumbled before dad started to drive. It was a pretty long drive but we finally got there. The house was so empty. It echoed when anyone talked because all the furniture was in the new house. "You okay Char?" Taylor asked as he caught me just sitting against the wall in my room. "Yeah, of course," I said as I looked up to him. "You sure?" He asked as he came and sat beside me. "Yeah, I'm just gonna miss this place," I said with a small smile.
We had a long and nice conversation. Taylor was so easy to talk to and he would understand anything. I finally feel asleep on a mattress on my floor. "Hey," A voice said as they shook my body gently. My eyes opened to see Hayes... again. "What?" I said as I squirmed around trying to go back to sleep. "Can we talk?" He asked. "What is it with you and talking half way during the night?" I said as I sat up. "It's the best time when I think," "Fine," I said as I ran my hand through my hair.
"What's going on with us?" He asked. "Hayes nothing," I said as I looked down. "I saw you checking me out before," He said with a smirk. "I was not!" I denied. "You did too!" He said starting to laugh. "Why are you laughing?" I asked seriously. "Because I know you checked me out, but hey, I can't blame you," "Seriously? That's why you woke me up at 1?" I asked sarcastically. "No not really, I just wanted to talk to you, like old times," He said serious this time. "Old times as friends?" I asked.
"Yeah, we can start as friends." He said with a smirk before he walked off. I couldn't help but falling for him every time. But this time, I am going to try not too, I just can't, it wouldn't be fair to me nor Hayes.
