Chapter 18

CHARLOTTE POV.

I was kissing Hayes! What was I doing?! I pulled away once I realised what my mind was doing. "Um, sorry," I said as I turned the opposite way. "Why are you sorry?" He asked as he walked towards me. "Because I have a boyfriend!" I yelled before I ran downstairs. What was I doing? I knew that Hayes had feelings for me and I was being so mean! "Can I talk to you?" I said as I walked up to Kate with tears in my eyes. "Um, yeah. Jack I will be back," She said as she kissed Jack on the cheek and then followed me out the back. "Hey, what's up?" She asked as she came and hugged me. "I just kissed Hayes," I said. She was speechless. "Char, is that a bad thing?" She asked as she pulled away from the hug.

"I have a boyfriend," I replied. She just looked at me. "Wait, what?! Who?" She said as she sat down on the chair trying to wrap her head around everything. "His name is Joel, I babysit his little sister," I said as my eyes started to water. "Charlotte why would you do that?!" She said in a serious tone. "I don't know! My heart and mind just said yes my body was saying no though!" I said as I sat down beside her. "You need to know how you feel about both of them, do what your heart says," She said as she looked at me. Kate always had the best advice. "Thank you, I am going to see Joel," I said after I hugged her. "Okay," She said as she went back inside, I wanted to think for a moment.

Was Joel who I wanted? "Dad, I will be back," I said as I walked back into the house. "Where are you going?" He asked as he took a sip of his drink while him and the guys were talking. "I forgot something at Katrina's house, I will be back as fast as I can," I said before I hugged him. We said our goodbyes then I ran over to Joel's house. Do I tell him that I kissed one of his friends? Actually, his ONLY friend? I knocked on the door, he opened it, his blonde hair looked perfect, and his eyes just glowed. Charlotte, stop getting distracted! "Hey babe," He said as he pulled me into a hug. "Hey," I replied. "I thought you had to go?" He said as he closed the door behind me. "Yeah, I just really wanted to see you, is Katrina here?" I asked him. "Nah, she is late again," He replied. "Is everything alright?" He asked as his blue eyes looked into mine.

"Yeah, I just missed you," I lied. I did miss him, I was just coming to tell him something else. We then hugged, his hugs were so warm which made me feel safe. "Well, while you are here, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date tomorrow night?" He asked as he pulled away but still held me. "A date? Really? I would love too!" I said as I hugged him tighter.

He picked me and swung me around in a circle, still in his grip. That's when our eyes met. He leant in slowly and kissed me, I felt sparks. But it was different to Hayes. We kissed until Rosie started to cry, we both pulled away. "I will pick you up at 5?" He asked before he kissed my nose ever so sweetly. "5 sounds great," I said with a smile. "I betta go," I replied. "See ya," He said before he kissed me again. Wow.. All I can say is just wow....

I left Joel's house and went back to mine. I had dinner and then went up to my room after everyone left. Carter and Taylor was spending the night because they had a meeting with dad and Nash in the morning so it made sense for them to stay. I had a long shower and washed my hair. I decided to paint my nails before my date, my very first date. What do I wear? What are we doing? I had no idea what I was going to do.

I decided to paint my nails a light blue colour like the sky since it was my favourite colour. My nails were going to match the dress I was going to wear. The dress had thick straps and ended just before my knee. It was lace. I was going to wear that with my white converse. After doing my nails and picking out my outfit it was late, so I decided to go asleep. Every time I closed my eyes I could only think about the kiss, Hayes kiss. What was wrong with me?
