Chapter 11

CHARLOTTE POV.

After almost dying from laughter I decided to go and have a shower. I got dressed in some casual and comfortable clothes and went downstairs. "Hi," I said before I sat next to Nash at the table top. "Your not going to wear that are you?" Hayes says as he walks into the room. "Well good morning to you too, and besides, what is wrong with this?" I said as I am pouring orange juice into a glass. "Charlotte, you are wearing trackies and a crop top, it looks like you just woke up," Hayes said while dad and Nash decided to agree with him.

"Fine fine fine, I will change," I said as I put down my glass of orange juice and ran upstairs. Instead of wearing 'omfortable' I wore 'uncomfortable'. I pulled out a dark pair of jeans with a flower cotton top with my combat boots. "Are you ready?" I hear dad yell from outside my door. "Yep!" I say as I quickly put my hair in a high ponytail. Dad decided to drive Hayes and I and then he would go and meet up with the Jacks. "Good luck!" Dad said as he pulled up outside of my old school. I definitely didn't miss this place.

"Thanks dad," I said before I got out of the car. Hayes and I started to walk into school, when I stopped in my footsteps because I was covered in something. I turned around to see Taylor there standing with a bottle of water, "Opps, sorry," She said with a smug look on her face. "Oh that's okay, at least you didn't get any on yourself or other wise you would of melted," I said smiling before I walked away. Hayes starting to laugh as we walked through the door.

"Okay, let's see," The lady at the admin office said. "Now, you both will be staying here and do your exams today, it will take 3 hours. So once your exams are done you can go," She said as she gave us stationary. "Thank you," I said as I went and took a seat. There were four other people in the room besides me and Hayes. There was 3 boys and a girl. "Thank goodness your here, I thought I was going to be the only girl," The girl said besides me. I smiled. "Oh, I'm Sarah by the way," She said as she smiled. "I'm Charlotte," I replied.

I took the exams which were so hard. Out of math, English, science and history, math was definitely my worst subject. "Hey, so I was wondering if you wanted to hang out some time?" Sarah asked as I was about to walk out the door with Hayes. "Yeah, that will be great," I replied. "Here, I will give you my number," She said as she started to write on a small piece of paper. "Thanks, see you around," I said as I waved as she walked to her car. How old was she?

Hayes and I waited for about 25 minutes until dad and the Jacks finally got here. "Hey guys, sorry we're late," Dad said as we both got in the car. "So, how was it?" Johnson asked. "Well, lets just say I am never going to do a test again in my life," I said seriously. "What did you guys get up to?" Hayes asked as all of the guys started to look around at each other. "What?" I said. "Well, they caught your dad, we had to go and identify him. That's why we were late," Johnson said from the front seat. "What for?" I asked. "Stealing a car," Dad told me. I tried to care, but there was a part of me that did even after everything that had happened.

We got out of the car at our house and I walked inside. I ran upstairs and I had a shower so I didn't smell or gross. I got into the outfit that I was going to wear today. I then went downstairs with my laptop and Bell. "Do you want something to eat?" Someone asked from the kitchen. I heard this voice before I just couldn't put my finger on it. I walked into the kitchen to see her standing there. "Lucy," I said as I put Bell down.

Dad then walked in. "Serious?" I asked. He just gave me that look like 'stop now'. "I'm going to go out with a friend, and no, I don't want food," I said as I walked away. "Hayes can I please use your phone?" I asked as he was sitting on the couch watching some cartoon. "Sure," He said as he gave me his phone, his hand touched mine but I just pulled away. "Thanks" I said with a smile. I dialed the number that was on the piece of paper that Sarah gave me.

"Hello?" She said on the other side of the phone.

"Hi Sarah it's me Charlotte, I was wondering if you wanted to come over?"

"Yeah sure, I will ask my mom to take me, bye," She said as she hung up.

"But wait!" it was too late. She hung up. I didn't even tell her my address.

20 minutes later there was a knock on the door. "Hey!" Sarah said as she came inside. "Hey, how did you even get here?" I asked as I shut the door. "My mom," She replied as she started to look around. "I know, but I never told you where I lived," I told her. Her face went white, "Ah yes you did," She said starting to stutter. "No I didn't," I said starting to get annoyed because I knew she was lying then Hayes walked in. "Hi," He said. "Oh my gosh! I love you so much!" She said as went up and started to hug him. "So thats why your here," I said, she stopped in her tracks. "What do you mean?" She asked already knowing the answer. "You don't want to be my friend, you want to date him, get out," I said as I opened the front door. She didn't say anything she just walked away.

"Char I am so sorry, I didn't know," Hayes said. "It's fine," I replied as I walked up the stairs.
