I stared in the mirror and sighed. "I look so ugly in this dress." I said and frowned, resting my elbows on the counter. I opened my bag of makeup, then heard running in the house.

"Hey, Y/N, are you in there?" Jeremy yelled from the other side of the door.

"Yeah, I'm just doing my makeup. I'll be a few minutes." I said, rushing.

"Baby, that can wait." He said and I sighed. "We're gonna be late to the party!" He added. I opened the door and rushed out of the bathroom, seeing him already running out the house.

I quickly put on my shoes and ran out the house in my high heels. Almost tripping over my own feet, I ran out the house and jumped in the car. Hopefully we won't be late for the party that he keeps nagging me about.

"You look so great, Y/N." Jeremy said and kissed me on the cheek after starting the car.

"No I don't." I mumbled, tugging at my dress. "This dress is too tight, half of my face doesn't have makeup, I didn't even do my hair-" I whined.

"Shush, baby. We're gonna have fun at this party, no matter what." He said, stepping on the gas. I felt a little better and we arrived at the party.

"Here we have Normal Chicks by Bowling For Soup!" The DJ announced and Jeremy hugged me.

"I requested this song for you, baby." He said and winked at me, then I smiled and hugged him. We stood at the edge of the dance floor and he sung along until right before the beat dropped.

"Dance with me, baby." He said, pulling me onto the dance floor with him. He could tell I was hesitant but he didn't resist.

"I like you in sweatpants, no makeup, I even like your messed up hair." He sung along while spinning me around. Some couples in the audience joined in on the dance floor and I smiled.

"You're just perfect right when you wake up," He sung, leaning in to kiss me.

"You're so pretty when you don't care." I added, kissing him then pushing him away.

"There's just gotta be a heaven above,
'Cause there's an angel on Earth right here!" We sung in unison, grabbing our arms and spinning around.

"There's nothing you need to fix;
I like normal chicks." Jeremy sung, whispering in my ear. I blushed and pushed him away, then he held my hand and we walked off the dance floor together. We kept dancing in the crowd and enjoyed each other's presence.

"You're so handsome, Jeremy." I said, pulling him close to me.

"You're so beautiful, Y/N." He said in a dreamy voice, staring into my eyes. "You look so gorgeous."

"I know I do." I said, giving him a smug look. "Let's go dance again." I added, pulling him onto the dance floor before the next song started.

"Are you sure?" He asked, unsure if I was feeling it.

"Yes, baby." I answered, feeling a strong wave of confidence crashing down on me. The next song started and I looked into his eyes with a smile. "Let's dance."
