The Uber driver dropped me off at the restaurant and I stepped out of the car with a smile. As soon as I saw Timo standing by the door, I ran up to him and hugged him as tight as I could.

"Hello, darling." He said and kissed me on the cheek. "I'm glad I could go out to dinner with you today."

"Yeah, I'm glad too." I replied and the two of us walked in the restaurant together. A few minutes passed and we were sitting down at a table together, waiting for our orders to come.

"So, after we have lunch here, I'm going to bring you home and introduce you to my family. Is that okay with you, Y/N?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Yes, I'd love to meet your family." I answered, then our food came.

"Let's do it then." He said and we started eating. About half an hour later, we finished eating and paid the bill, then he walked me to his car. We got inside and quickly hightailed it to his house.

We got out of the car and walked up to the door. Timo unlocked it and we entered his house, seeing his mother and sister standing there. I was pretty shy, so I hid behind him, just barely peeking to see his family.

"Hello, Timo! So nice to see you today." His mom said and walked up to hug him. "How have you been doing lately-" She tried to ask, but his sister cut her off and grabbed her hand, pulling her back to where she was standing.

"Wait, who's that girl next to him?" His sister said to his mom.

"Oh, I forgot to remind you, sis. This is my girlfriend, Y/N. I think I've talked about her to you before." He said and held my hand, then I walked so I could be seen.

"Hey it's nice to meet you-" I said but got cut off.

"Why'd you choose to date her?" His mom asked angrily. "There's no way she isn't a fake!"

"Yeah." His sister scoffed and walked up to me. "You're just dating him for the sex and money he brings you—right, Y/N?"

I snapped at what she said and had enough. I love Timo and he loves me, I'm not a faker at all! "You don't talk to my boyfriend like that! He's much more than that—I love him!" I yelled. I ran up to her and was about to slap her when Timo stopped me.

"I think it's time we leave." He whispered in my ear.

"Yes, Timo. Let's go to my place." I whispered back. He looked into his mom's eyes and frowned.

"I'm leaving. I'm going to Y/N's house for the night—she doesn't want to deal with y'all. And I don't want to, either." He said and grabbed my hand. "Let's go, darling."

A few hours passed and we got to my house. I was still angry so I sat down on my couch to try to calm myself, and Timo sat next to me. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I shouldn't have brought you there... My family wasn't that fond of you when I told them you'd be coming there today."

"That's alright, and I was the one who snapped anyway." I said and gave him a kiss.

"But you don't deserve that. My family shouldn't have treated you like that." He said and started to cry a little. "I can't let that happen again... I just wish we could get away from them."

Hmm... get away from them... Wait! I have an idea! My face lit up after I heard his words and I hugged him before starting to speak. "Are you serious? Because I have a solution for us!" I excitedly said.

"Yes, darling. Please me about it." He replied.

"Haven't you lived in Switzerland before?" I asked him, wiping the tears off his face. He nodded his head and I continued. "I have some cousins in Zurich."

"Do we have to move there?" He asked, slightly annoyed.

"No, but I can't deal with your family. I'm sorry but I don't want to be around them anymore." I said. "It's either your family has to shape up right now, and I'll leave you if they don't, or we escape from the situation altogether."

Timo stared into space in deep thought for a few minutes. "Y/N, I think I've made my decision."

"What is it?" I asked, getting a little anxious because I really didn't want to leave him.

"I think I'll come with you." He said and hugged me tight. I blushed and looked into his eyes.

"Thank you." I said and kissed him again. "And we don't have to live there for the entire year—let's just live there for the offseason and then we can return to the U.S."

"That sounds lovely, darling." He said and ran his hands through my hair. "Should I start preparing right now?"

"If you want." I said. I didn't want to rush him at all.

"I do—I think I'll go home in the morning and start packing. You can work on getting the flight set up, because we can't drive over the Atlantic Ocean." He replied.

"Well duh, we can't." I said and rolled my eyes. "And yes, I'll do that."

"Thanks, Y/N. I love you so much." He said and got off of the couch. "Let's get to bed now, so we'll get a good night's rest."

-A Couple Weeks Later-

A few days ago I finished preparing my house to be vacant while I was gone, and settled everything else. Our flight was at 1:00 PM today, and it was really early now so I had enough time to finish packing. A few hours later it was 10:30 AM and I decided to leave now.

As I drove my car on the highway, I began to feel uneasy about the situation. Am I doing the right thing? Was I too harsh, did I not give his family a chance? I brushed it off and kept driving toward the airport. I can't do anything about that now, anyway.

The traffic was surprisingly good for a Monday morning and I got there a little after 11:00, having lots of time to spare. After taking what seemed like an eternity to park, I got all my luggage and walked to the entrance. Only one thing was on my mind as I entered the airport: Timo.

I saw him walking around the airport and waited until he was a little closer to me to say hi. "Hey, Timo!" I shouted. He ran up to me and gave me a rough kiss on the lips.

"Y/N! I'm so glad you're here!" Timo cheered. We walked around the airport for a while before our flight was pretty close so we walked to our terminal. We sat down and cuddled for a few minutes before the intercom announced that we'd start boarding soon.

I felt a little nervous as I walked onto the plane with him, but holding his hand made me feel a little better. We sat down next to each other and put our seatbelts on. As the plane rolled down the runway, he gave a kiss and smiled.

"I love you so much, Timo." I said and stared into his eyes. He pat me on the head and blushed a little bit.

"I love you so much too, Y/N." He said and held my hand. "Darling, I'd do anything for you, you know that?"

"Obviously—you're flying across the world for me, that says enough." I laughed and squeezed his hand tight. The plane took off and I looked out the window at the beautiful sky above us. No regrets.
