The evening sky complemented the elegant park while Alex and I sat down on the bench together. The sky was painted with many shades of pink, red, orange, and yellow as the sun set. He took out a book from his satchel and started to read. I looked at the very beautiful sky then looked at my even more beautiful boyfriend.

"Ovi, can I read some of that, please?" I asked softly, reaching my hand out to the book. He smiled and handed it over to me, and I started reading.

Alex wrapped his arm around me and smiled, moving some of my hair out of my face. "I didn't know you liked to read, Y/N."

"I don't like to read, I'm just bored." I said and rolled my eyes. I closed the book and crossed my arms.

"Do you want to go on a walk with me?" He asked and put the book back in his satchel. "It'll make you feel better."

I nodded my head and we stood up, starting to walk. He brought his satchel for some reason and we kept walking. The atmosphere was beautiful—several fireflies flew around us as the sky darkened. The moon rose and we found ourselves in the middle of a clearing.

Alex stopped walking and rummaged through his satchel while I stood there watching all the fireflies fly around us. "Hey, sweetie!" He quietly shouted, grabbing my attention. I looked at him and he took a small box out of his satchel.

"What is it?" I asked, despite being sure of what it was.

He smiled and looked into my eyes. "Hey, I have a question..." He whispered, kneeling down while I stood still in deep thought. "Y/N, will you marry me?" He said after opening the box, revealing an engagement ring.

"Yes!" I gasped after I jumped backwards in excitement. Alex stood up and put the box back in his satchel. Seeing how happy he was, I playfully tackled him to the ground.

"What was that for!?" He laughed, pushing me off of him. I stood up and shrugged my shoulders.

"Nothing, I just love you so much, Ovi." I chuckled, helping him up. He stared into my eyes and hugged me tight.

"I love you too, Y/N. You're the best fiancée that I could ever have!" He said and kissed me on the cheek. I blushed and kissed him back.

We walked around for a little while and enjoyed the scenery. As we held hands and explored the park, more fireflies flew around, soon a whole swarm was following us. A lot of them circled Alex and I smiled, holding his hand tighter.

I stopped walking and turned my face toward him then pulled him toward me. I looked into his eyes and tilted his chin up, his face resting in my hands. He blushed and donned a silly smile on his face. "You light up my world, Ovi." I said in a dreamy voice and he put his hands on my shoulders.

"Tell me something I don't know, sweetie." Alex said with a smug look on his face. He pushed me away and we kept walking for a while before the sky turned pitch black.

"Ovi—it's getting late, we should leave soon." I said and kissed him on the cheek.

"Yeah." He said. "Let's go have some fun at home, Y/N." He added as we held hands and started to walk back home. A couple hours later, we enjoyed ourselves on this special night together—and I loved every minute of it.
