24. The Launch

After 2 weeks
In Korea
At Hybe's building
In auditorium

The time had finally come to bring the hardwork of both the companies to the world. The auditorium was still empty. The employees were racing around, arranging the stuff,checking all the workings of the system and software. There was a lot of chaos backstage.
Taehyung was swinging on his rolling chair while reading some papers.
"Taehyung, Everything is set" Jimin said while catching his breath.

" You can relax now, I'll do the rest" Taehyung said while Revising certain lines.

Time SKIPS....
Auditorium was now filling with the guests. Mr Bang was welcoming them.

In backstage, Taehyung looked at himself in the mirror while setting his mic near his lips.

He took deep breaths to focus his mind. Suddenly he remembers something. He went near the stage and peeped through the curtains. He looked around the auditorium trying to find her in the crowd of guests. He frowned. Suddenly Jimin tapped his shoulder.
"Bro, what are you doing?"

"Jimin, did you see Miss Shin?" Taehyung asked in hurry.
"No, Maybe she'll be late, but why are you waiting for her so eagerly" Jimin said.
"No just... She is our partner in this project." Taehyung said.
"So what? She'll might be late." Jimin said

An employee approached them and said, " Sir it's show time"
Taehyung nodded and again peeped through the curtains. Jimin pulled him and pushed him towards the way of stage. "Go, it's time now" he said.

Taehyung straighten his suit and looked at the backstage manager.
The manager showed her thumb and said," Mic is  going on in 3...2...1.."

All the lights dimed in the auditorium and the giant screen on the stage glowed up. Taehyung entered the stage and smiled at the guests.

"Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen. First of all I thank you all for your presence on this important day of ours...." Taehyung began...

For next 45 minutes. He was fully concentrate on his presentation.

He finally concluded and smiled at the people. A sound of someone's clapping echoed in hall. Taehyung raised his head and smiled brightly.

Soon all other guests's clapping followed hers.
Taehyung's eyes were concentrated on her.
He smiled at her, Y/N gave a small smile in reply.
Taehyung bowed deeply and descended the stage.

All lights turned on and people stood up from their place greeting and congratulating Mr. Bang. Soon Taehyung came to join them. He smiled at compliments an praises.

His eyes roam around the hall and finally saw her.
Y/N was talking to Lisa.
Y/N, felt as if someone is looking at her. She rolled her head to meet Taehyung's eyes. She smiled softly. She turned around and went somewhere.
Taehyung on the other hand frowned finding rude that she ignored him. He followed her. He caught her by her upper arm and turned her around.
"What are you doing?" Y/n asked at his strange action.
"I should be the one asked that... Is this how you greet your friends when meeting after long time?" Taehyung said cutely complaining.
Y/N pointed at a door and said."I was going to use the washroom"
The silence then between two was loud.
Taehyung felt embarrassed for his impatient action.
He left her arm and step back. " Yeah sure, uuh.. sorry for that" he said.

Y/N turned around and went inside. Taehyung sighed and finally hide his face in his hands and whined out of embarrassment.
Just then Jimin came in and said, "Aah.. Taehyung buddy.. I am also here for the same thing as you".
"What do you mean?" Taehyung frowned.
Jimin dragged him into the near by men's washroom.
"I have been controlling my pee from last 2 hours, finally I can relax" Jimin opened his pant chain and said. Taehyung decided to join him and he also opened his chain. Both men stood beside each other doing there business.
"See, I told you,Miss Shin would be late" Jimin said.
" Yeah, you were right " Taehyung sighed.
"Did you see her in that dress, she looked awesome, and for cherry on top- her Beauty" Jimin said.
"As far as I know you are scared of her." Taehyung narrowed his eyes.
"So what? But my lover eyes can never ignore a beautiful creation" Jimin said being lost in his thought.
Taehyung felt as if he didn't like someone else complementing her.
"Yaah! Stop it... She will not even spare a glance at you" Taehyung chuckled while closing his chain.
" Will she give you a glance?" Jimin said out of nowhere.
"Yeah, probably" Taehyung shrugged off.
"Then go talk to her and mention good things about me, then she would also give a glance " Jimin said being dramatic.
Both men dried their hands and came out. Taehyung immediately started to look for her.
Y/N was talking to Mr Bang. Taehyung approach her followed by Jimin.
"Oh, Taehyung, we were just talking about you" Mr. Bang said.
May I know what exactly?" Taehyung said.
"Miss Shin loved your presentation." Mr Bang Said. Taehyung blushed and looked at her for words.
"It was great, Mr Kim" She nodded formally.
Mr. Bang left to talk to others. Taehyung was about to say when Jimin said.
"Miss Shin, am not sure if you know me-" Jimin said.
"I know you, Mr Park" Y/N said.  Jimin blushed and chuckled.
Taehyung lean near Jimin and said," Get us a drink, Jimin"

"I was a stupid that I agreed to be you secretary". Jimin said with a done look. He left them alone.
Both were silent for some reason.
"What you want to say?" Y/N broke the silence.
"Huh?" Taehyung got startled.
"On call, you were excited to see me but now you are just silent" Y/N said.
"Well, I am too excited to see you, so I am not able to decide what I should start with" Taehyung said scratching his neck.
"Shall I start?" Y/N said.
"Sure" He smiled.
"Are you okay" Y/n Said..
