My heart skipped a beat as Lorenzo's voice filled my ear. I had been thinking about him non-stop since our conversation a few days ago, and I couldn't help but wonder what he wanted to talk to me about.
"Sure, what's up?" I replied, trying to keep my voice steady.
"I was thinking... I just closed a big deal at work, and I was wondering if you would like to take a trip with me to Paris for a week?" Lorenzo said, his voice was low and hesitant.
My eyes widened in surprise. I had never been to Paris before, and the thought of going on a trip with Lorenzo was both exciting and nerve-wracking.
"Wow, that sounds amazing," I said, trying to keep my voice calm. "But, I don't know... I don't want to intrude on your business trip."
Lorenzo let out a small laugh. "No, no, it's not a business trip. I want to take you away on vacation, just the two of us."
My heart fluttered in my chest. I had always had a crush on Lorenzo, but I never imagined that he felt the same way about me.
"I would love to go with you," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
Lorenzo let out a sigh of relief. "Great. I was hoping you would say yes. I have been thinking about this for a while now."
I couldn't help but smile. It felt like a dream come true. I had always wanted to go to Paris, and now I was going with the man I had feelings for.
"When are we leaving?" I asked, feeling my excitement grow.
"In two weeks," Lorenzo replied. "I want everything to be perfect, so I have been planning this for a while now."
My heart swelled with affection. I knew that Lorenzo was a thoughtful and caring person, but this was beyond my wildest dreams.
"Thank you, Lorenzo," I said, feeling tears prick at the corners of my eyes. "This means so much to me."
Lorenzo chuckled. "You don't have to thank me. I just want to spend some quality time with you, away from all the drama at work."
I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I had been feeling so overwhelmed lately, and the thought of getting away with Lorenzo was exactly what I needed.
As we said our goodbyes and hung up the phone, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. I knew that the next two weeks were going to be a whirlwind of preparation and planning, but I couldn't wait to see what was in store for me and Lorenzo in Paris.
