31.Mission Failed

Everyone went to bed, including John, who managed to sleep tonight but still had nightmares. John woke up at 5:30 AM and went for his run, while everyone else woke up at around 7 AM.

6:00 AM

John: Good morning!

7:00 AM

Sera: morning

Arlo: Good Morning.

Remi: Morning!

Blyke: Morning

Isen: good morning

*Private chat between John and Sera*

John: wanna get boba and breakfast?

Sera: sure, should we invite the others?

John: sure

*Group Chat*

Sera: do u guys wanna join me and john for boba and breakfast?

Blyke: sure

Remi: ok

Arlo: Alright.

Isen: ok

John: let's meet at the front gate in 15 mins?

Sera: kay, see you there!

Remi: ok

Isen: Ok

Blyke: 👍

Arlo: Alright.

*IRL*

They all meet at the front gate and decide to go get breakfast and then head to Woaba Boba and get Boba.

As they'll start heading to their dorms-

Sera: "So we will all meet up at the bus stop at 12?"

Remi: "Ok"

Blyke: "Sounds good"

Isen: "Mmm hmm"

Arlo: "Ok"

John: "Yup"

12:00 AM

Everyone is at the bus stop and is waiting for the next bus. After reaching their stop, they all get off and walk behind a building where they're supposed to meet Kayden.

Kayden: "Hey, I'm Kayden"

Isen: "Hi, I'm Isen"

Blyke: "Hey, I'm Blyke" 

Remi: "Nice to meet you, I'm Remi"

Arlo: "Hello"

Kayden: "Ah, you were the one with Seraphina the first time, Arlo right?"

Arlo: "Yes."

Kayden: "Didn't expect you to be here."

Arlo: "Well I've had a change of heart"

Kayden: "Alright, then let's get as close as possible and then I will teleport you four there."

John: "And I and Sera will meet you guys there."

Remi: "Ok, let's go."

They all start walking toward the location, soon they get as close as possible without getting caught, Kayden then teleports them to Leilah's office, while Sera and John enter the building and walk there.

*knock knock*

Leilah: "*opens door* Ah good you guys are here, any trouble getting here"

Sera: "No, no one really noticed us."

Leilah: "Good"

Doc arrives soon and they all start to go over the plan. By 1:00 PM John and Sera are in the meeting room. 

(Sorry but I won't be writing everything in detail😅)

The meeting goes really well and John and Seraphina are heading to the lab to get their abilities back. They enter the lab and soon are asleep. After a while Kayden arrives and knocks out the doctor running the machine. One of Orrin's high tiers comes to check in and realizes that Kayden is not the Doctor. She starts fighting him, and soon John and Seraphina wake up and start fighting the high tiers. Both of them notice a drop in their abilities and struggle to fight the high tiers, who apparently also have a second ability. Kayden helps when he can, after a while Seraphina gets injured and Kayden tells John to abandon the mission and to teleport to Leilah's office. After Kayden teleports himself and Seraphina back, John is frustrated that the mission didn't go according to plan. He decides that instead of trying to steal the machine which will be extremely hard now, he could just destroy it, since they will likely never be allowed back there. After destroying it he feels somewhat satisfied because the mission wasn't a total failure, he then teleports himself back to the office. 

Leilah: "They should be back by now..."

Doc: "Calme down, Leilah, I'm sure they just got delayed and are fine."

Kayden appears with Seraphina.

Leilah: "Sera!"

Remi: "Are you ok? What happened?"

Kayden: "Looks like they suspected us, Orrin sent two of his High-tiers in case they tried to do anything."

Isen: "But you got your abilities back right?"

Arlo: " Yeah, you should have been able to fight them off if you did.

Sera: "Yeah, but I think Orrin made sure we didn't get them entirely."

Leilah: "He must have told the doctor to run it at only half the power"

Blyke: "Ugh!"

Sera: "Wait where's John!"

Kayden: "He's not here yet? I told him to teleport here."

Sera: "YOU LEFT HIM BEHIND!"

Kayden: "I thought he'd follow us like I told him to."

Sera: "What if he couldn't! What if those two got to him before he could?!"

Remi: "Seraphina, calm down. I'm sure he'll be fine."

Sera: "We couldn't handle them when it was THREE OF US! How do you expect him to alone!?"

Arlo: "He might not be able to finish the mission but he's still strong, he should be able to teleport out."

Sera: "What if he's too injured? We need to go get hi-"

Just then John appeared.

I'm so sorry this took so long. I actually finished it a while ago and was about to publish it, but something happened and it all got deleted.😓 I got kinda demotivated after that, so it took a while to rewrite. But I'm sure the next chapter will be done faster.
