38. Recap Pt. 3

Blyke: "We were confronting the guy when a smoke bomb went off." 

Remi: "Blyke cleared the smoke and we started chasing the guy, it turned out he had a friend who could make them invisible, we almost got him when the mall security stopped us and arrested us."

Isen: "They took us to their office and they checked the cameras, they realized it wasn't us who set off the smoke bomb and let us go."

Kuyo: "That's good."

Remi: "Yeah, but the next day at school someone from the press team had apparently been there and written a story on it anonymously."

Isen: "The headmaster didn't punish us or anything he just let us off with a warning."

Kuyo: "Oh, ok, so you said it was written anonymously? "

Remi: "Yeah, I asked the head of the press team, Cecile, who wrote it but she refused to answer."

Kuyo: "Aren't you Queen?"

Arlo: "Yeah, but she's still polite to everyone."

Remi: "..."

Arlo: "Anyway, I confronted Cecile later, it was Terrance."

Remi: " Figured. He was a low tier in the press team, we'll get back to him later."

Kuyo: "Ok?"

Sera: "Well after a while I got fed up with being home, my mother made me do reading assignments every night, so-"

Isen: "Every night!"

Sera: "Yeah...you get why was sick of being there. She even cut my internet and took away my phone. Anyway one night after her... assistant I guess, gave me a few books to read and write something about, I decided I wasn't gonna do keep doing those things, so the next day when the assistant came to collect my work I told her I hadn't done it, and that I wasn't going to."

John: "Haha! How'd she react?"

Sera: "She told me things like it's my responsibility and how my mother would be disappointed and stuff but I told her not to worry cuz I was going to talk to her directly. She tried to stop me but I froze her and headed to my mother's room."

Kuyo: "Um? What's your ability?"

Sera: "Oh, it's time manipulation. I can freeze time on objects and people or just parts of things. For example, I froze time on my mother's assistant but left her face unfrozen so she could talk. I can also use it to freeze an injury but I usually rewind my injuries anyway."

Kuyo: "Oh wow! That's cool."

Sera: "Yeah, so when I got to my mother's room I tried talking to her but she didn't listen so I froze her too."

John: "BAHAHAHA! I can just imagine how shocked she must have been!"

Sera: "Yup, She was shocked alright, and she couldn't unfreeze herself because I was stronger than her. And she wasn't listening so that was my only choice. After that, I told her that I didn't like living there and that I wanted to go back, and she said no of course. So I threatened to get there myself."

Kuyo: "What?"

Blyke: "You threatened to run away?"

Sera: "Yup, I told her that if she wasn't going to send me back I would do it myself. And that since my sister ran away from home a few years ago, it would seem like the mother was at fault if both of her daughters did. That seemed to work and she got me a plane ticket home."

Kuyo: "...wow, your sister ran away?"

Sera: "Oh yeah, but I found her and we've been talking."

Kuyo: "Okay, that's good."
