40. Don't make Remi mad (Recap Pt. 5 along with some ✨chaos✨)

Sera: ". . . . . . I was telling him that I could defend myself when a lady appeared behind me and stabbed me."

Kuyo: "What were they trying to do?! Kill you?!"

Sera: "That's what I thought! I managed to escape but I couldn't rewind my stab wound and freezing it didn't work for very long. I managed to get back to John's apartment, but I passed out before I could call anyone."

Kuyo: "Well at least you got back."

John: "Yeah. I got back from school and found her, then I used her phone to call Elaine but she hung up after realizing it was me. She wouldn't pick up after that, so I looked to see if there was anyone else I could call. Arlo was the only one in her contacts that I knew so I called him and told him to get Elaine and come to my apartment."

Kuyo: "Wow, no context or anything."

John: "Hey! I hated him and was shocked by what just happened! Plus Elaine not answering kinda got me frustrated too."

Kuyo: "Eh, you still coulda told him something."

Arlo: "Yeah, it was really confusing."

John: "Good. You deserved to be confused. I was not exactly in the mood to talk to you, ya know?"

Arlo: "You think I was any happier having to talk to you?!"

Sera: "Both of you shut up. You're getting off topic."

Arlo: "tch"

John: "Hmph Alright, well Arlo and Elaine came and Elaine healed Sera, but she still didn't wake up, so I copied her ability and searched and found a needle wound and figured out that that was why she was knocked out. I took her to bed and we all ended up falling asleep."

Kuyo: "That was one heck of a day."

John: "There's more."

Kuyo: "...What."

Arlo: "Yeah, at around 1:45 AM when I woke up to some guy trying to stab me, Elaine blocked it and then healed herself, but she noticed her ability was significantly weaker."

Kuyo: "Wait, they got her too?"

Arlo: "No, we found out that they have some sort of temporary dampener, it brings you down to half-strength. That's how they trap high tiers, dampen them so they are weaker, and then disable them."

Sera: "They have a temporary cure, a machine that can undo the disabler for about a week. You work for them and you get to use it, you don't and they kill you or you live as a cripple the rest of your life."

Kuyo: "So I assume they were able to trap a lot of high tiers like that."

Sera: "Yeah, but this is mostly because of one of the three executives of Spectre, Orrin. He has control over the strongest part of Spectre so the other executives can't do much about him."

Kuyo: "So the problem isn't all of Spectre but Orrin?"

John: "Yup, that's what we believe at least."

Kuyo: "Alright continue."

Arlo: "Right, so after they broke in I pinned one down and trapped him, Elaine noticed that the knife that guy used was the same one Seraphina had with her so we figured that he was the one to injure her. I started to question him and then John barges in all mad cuz he wasn't able to get his beauty sleep."

Isen: "pffttt-HAHAHA🤣"

Sera: "Pfft, that's one way to put it."

Blyke: "HAHAHA🤣"
